We both got picked up by her chauffeur after we finished getting ready. I didn't know she was this loaded... must be nice.
"Anyways, why did you ask if I was upset about Taehyung earlier?" I started the conversation in the car as she was busy touching up her makeup in the mirror.
"Well, many people have a hard time clicking with Taehyung. I mean I get it, he comes across as cold and arrogant when you first meet him but he's actually a really loyal friend." Yoona explained. I see... I did get the cold and arrogant vibe from him but him being a loyal friend? It's hard for me to trust others easily let alone to be able to view someone as loyal. Especially after what just happened between me and Taeyang.
"Let's just go have a good time tonight Jayne." Yoona smiled as she held my hand.
We reached Gangnam where Club 77 is. It was smaller than expected, hidden away the luxurious malls of Gangnam. It was located in a small alleyway opposite a hotel. There was a big crowd waiting to get in.
"Guest list under Choi Minho." Yoona showed the bouncer her ID and so did I. As they were giving me my wristband, I noticed someone familiar at the corner of my eye. It was Taehyung, he was talking to some guys at the smoking corner. I quickly looked away before he notices me. He was wearing a black leather jacket with oversized pants. His hair was styled back and he looked... different.
"Jayne! Didn't expect to see you here." I was pulled into a hug by Jungkook once again, I didn't even see him. Jungkook is so friendly, he definitely is a hugger. I followed them to our table where we had our drinks and food waiting for us. Minho was spinning and the crowd was so hyped. I didn't expect Minho to be a DJ upon my first impression of him but honestly, it suits him and he is good at it.
"Did the weed scare you away?" Minho sat next to me after he was done with his set. It was so loud I could barely hear what he was saying and when I was about to reply, "I'm just kidding, don't worry about it. Glad you could come tonight though." He smiled. I guess everyone is in a good mood tonight.
The music abruptly ceased, and the emcee announced, "Kim Taehyung, take over the decks!" eliciting cheers from the crowd. Taehyung grinned as he awkwardly made his way onto the stage before kicking off his set.
"I didn't realize Taehyung was a DJ too," I said to Minho. "Yeah.. he's not that good though. He only does it for fun." Minho chuckled, giving Taehyung a thumbs up.
It was surprising and honestly a little weird to see Taehyung smile so openly and express himself with such ease through his body language. It was a big contrast to that night where he seemed so distant and reserved. Suddenly, our eyes met, and I quickly looked away.
Fuck, was I staring for too long?
