Two a.m. That was when Giyu stumbled out of his complex, completely inebriated. The sake bottle finished quickly, leaving a mess on the kitchen floor. His head was spinning, and there was no point in even attempting to walk straight. But he wanted to sit by the water, he always sat by the water on nights like these. Completely wasted, emotions that couldn't be displayed on his face surging through his body. The water was his calm space, his savior when things became more unbearable than they typically were.

He stumbled into a tree, whacking his head on the bark slightly. A small pained groan left his lips, and he could feel blood slightly trickling down his forehead.

"What are you doing?" Giyu glanced up slightly hearing the calm voice. A girl was standing not far from him, with a facial expression he couldn't read. Maybe because he was beyond drunk, or maybe because of the fact that there was no emotion on her face at all.

"Just leave me alone..." He mumbled, leaning against the tree and trying to wipe the blood off his forehead.

"Are you drunk?" The girl asked calmly. Of course he was drunk, it was obvious. Do stupid people ask stupid questions, or was everyone like that?

"Why do you care... just leave me alone." Giyu replied, with a harsher voice this time.

"Are you going somewhere?" The girl asked, still with no emotion in her voice.

"Do you know what leave me alone means?! Mind your damn business!" Giyu shouted at her, turning to face her. She was short, significantly shorter than him. She couldn't have been taller than five foot, but she wasn't a child. She had long black hair with bangs that sat just above her eyebrows and framed the sides of her face. Her eyes were a deep green, harsher than any other woman's eyes he'd seen before. Yet they were tired, and had some odd form of softness to them. She didn't react to his yelling at all, still standing there with her arms behind her back and her head tilted slightly to the side.

"Where is your complex? You shouldn't be out like this." The girl said calmly. Giyu glanced back at his complex for a moment, before looking back at her.

"Get out of my sight." He mumbled angrily.

She must have noticed his slight eye movement to his home, though it was so subtle and he really could have been looking anywhere. The girl gently grabbed his arm and dragged him behind her, leaving Giyu a stumbling mess as he was forced to unwillingly follow her.

"What are you doing?! Let go of me!" Giyu yelled angrily. "Are you insane?! Don't touch me!"

He did his best to wrench his arm out of her grasp, but she was much stronger than he had expected.

"Be quiet. You'll wake everyone up." The girl replied calmly. Giyu kept trying to fight her grip, but being drunk and stumbling everywhere wasn't helping him.

He didn't have a choice, not with her dragging him around. The stream would have to wait; going inside again was his only option.
