Birds chirping. That was what woke Giyu up, even though it usually took several loud alarms. Sun rays cast through the windows, hitting him in the face with a bit of warmth. Giyu sat up wearily, shielding his face from the sun with his hand. It took a moment for his vision to focus, allowing him to rub the sleep out of his eyes and shove his hair out of his face.

Giyu stretched slightly, yawning as he did so. Oddly enough, he felt well rested. He couldn't remember when he fell asleep last night, let alone how he was awake at eight in the morning. He groaned and rubbed his neck slightly, wiping off the remaining bits of condensation from the ice pack. Ice pack?

He looked down in confusion as the realization hit him, convinced he was dreaming. But no, there was an ice pack on his pillow. A pillow on the couch, with a fluffy blanket covering him. He didn't keep blankets or pillows on his couch.

Now that he thought about it, he wasn't hungover either. Actually, he felt okay. Tired, but not sick or in pain. He got up to grab some coffee and get ready; lunchtime was rolling around soon.

"What the...?" Giyu mumbled as he stepped into the kitchen. His kitchen was clean, spotless even. He cleaned sometimes, but never this much or this well. Everything was organized by its use, size, color, and material type. Giyu usually just threw the same objects together and dealt with sorting it when the time came.

After making some coffee and sitting down at the table, Giyu sighed and rubbed his eyes again. He wasn't looking forward to lunch with the other Hashira, or meeting the new Hashira at that. He was debating making up an excuse, like he was sick or didn't sleep well. He was about to get up and go back to bed when something caught his eye.

How he didn't notice it before, he wasn't sure. On his table was a necklace, one that didn't belong to Giyu at all. It was a simple gold chain, with a green teardrop gem as the centerpiece. It was beautiful; the stone was a rich, polished green. It was jade stone, meaning the necklace had to be very expensive.

Giyu picked the necklace up carefully, completely lost as to how something like this got in his complex. It took him a moment, before he gasped.

"That girl..." He mumbled to himself. The short girl with black hair and green eyes, the girl who had dragged him back inside whilst he was in his drunken stupor. She must be the reason he didn't feel horrid... she gave him medicine and water. The cleaning... she must have done that too.

"What the hell was her name..." Giyu mumbled as he put the necklace in his pocket, taking another sip of coffee before heading to the bathroom. Despite having a clear mind, he couldn't remember the girls name for the life of him. Maybe she never told him her name?

Giyu dried the water off his face, staring at his own tired face in the mirror. He really didn't recall her ever giving her name out to him, but her facial features stuck out in his mind like a sore thumb. He frowned and sighed at himself in the mirror, before going to his bedroom to get dressed for lunch.

He was going to meet the new Hashira, and he was going to find the girl that helped him last night. He didn't want to keep her necklace, and he wanted to thank her.

Those green eyes stuck out in his mind the entire time he got dressed.
