Dogday POV
Me and everybody except for catnap was just about to go on an adventure for a hike after we've been hiking for like a few minutes I saw a catnap getting something. but how could he be outside he usually takes a nap during the day?
"You okay dogday?" Picky Piggy ask me
"Oh yeah I'm fine Picky." I said
I looked back with catnap was but he was no longer there. I had so many questions about him. Why was he here? Why is he not taking a nap?
(Later that night)
Everybody and I went home to go to bed and as soon as I got home I still had a lot of questions for catnap but I tried to ignore the questions and just go to sleep.
After some time I felt like someone was watching me and once I looked to see what it was it was very dark and I saw white pupils looking at me
"Um.... Hello? Who is that? Who are you?" I asked multiple questions to the figure
The figure just waved at me his hand was kind of dark purple and normal purple and then he turns around to go to my front door I panicked a little
Catnap's POV:
I did not know if dogday knew if that was me at the window. He seemed scared a little and I knew that did not sound like a good look so I just went to the front door to let him know that was me
(Dogday opened his front door)
"Please don't be a stranger!" Dogday said to himself
Once he looked at me he knew that was not a stranger
"Oh it was you catnap! I thought you were a stranger!" Dogday said
I just waved at him cuz I don't talk much and I don't like how my voice sounds
"Say. I have a question for you about today..." He said
I was confused cuz I did not know what to mean
"Why were you outside you usually stay inside" dogday said
I try to use sign language to tell him that I'll tell him inside but I was not very good at it
"Are you trying to say something but in sign language?" Dogday asked
I nodded letting him know that I'm trying to do those sign language that the kids who don't speak because they don't have voices do
"What are you trying to say?" Dogday ask
I just wrote what I want to say on a piece of paper and then gave it to him
"Oh we'll talk about it inside? Okay." Dogday said as he grabbed my hand to bring me inside
(Inside Dogday house)
"Soo catnap. About the question that I asked you you're usually inside what were you doing outside this morning?" Dogday said
I knew that I had to speak up for once
"Because I was trying to make something and I do not know how but I did not even think to bother crafty." I said
Dogday just sat there in silence because he heard my voice for the first time
"Y-you can speak!" Dogday said
"Could you please not tell anybody about this I just don't like the way that my voice sounds..." I said
"Why? your voice sounds amazing!" Dogday said
"Before The smiling critters became a thing I was the first smiling critter to be made... And I kept on speaking but a lot of children said that it was really scary... So I just stopped talking." I said
"Who cares what little kids think! All that matters is that your voice is beautiful!" Dogday said
No one even said something so kind to me like that
"Thanks I really needed that." I said
"I bet you really did need that. do you want to sleep over here for some time?" Dogday ask
"Yeah I would love to." I said
(An hour later)
"Hey catnap?" Dogday said
I tilt my head to know what he is about to say
Dogday POV:
"How come you never told anybody about your voice. I'm talking about the rest of our friends." I asked him
"Well I don't feel comfortable about my voice around other children and around with our friends..." Catnap said
"But catnap we're your friends you can talk to us and tell us everything that you feel sad about!" I said
"Yeah you're right at night" catnap said
"Night" I said before going to sleep
