"Thank you for using us."

The manager of the jewelry store greeted the special customer who purchased the wedding ring and sent him off. Ashley put her case containing her ring into the inside pocket of her suit and headed to her car.

Today I will propose to Melanie. She's already had some back and forth, so she'll probably have some expectations. Even if that wasn't the case, since he had met her in the first place on the assumption that she would get married, it was natural for her to think that this day would come someday.

What was surprising was that Ashley became quite attracted to her. Contrary to her previous thoughts that even if she was married, she would be boring and that her normal everyday life would be repetitive, she had a feeling that things might be different with her.

As expected, while he had been dating Melanie for the past few months, he was feeling a sense of stability and comfort that he had not felt in quite some time, along with a slight excitement. Ashley's feelings only made her more confident about proposing to Melanie. Of course, Dominic had no objection, so things went smoothly. He readily agreed to Ashley's proposal to hold her wedding at the same time as her engagement when she graduated.

She'll be fine.

I had met a few people before Melanie, but she was the only one I felt this way about. Meeting Melanie made her feel better. Even though he didn't know why she was so special, he ran even faster to see Melanie.

*

"Ashley."

As always, Melanie welcomed Ashley to her house with a blush on her cheeks. Ashley smiled and gave her a simple hello before opening the passenger door of her car. It was clear that Melanie was anticipating that today was the day, as she was wearing a fancier dress than usual. Ashley asked, picking her up and heading to her restaurant where she had made reservations.

"How are you preparing for graduation? "Is everything going well?"

Melanie nodded.

"Fortunately, I decided to get a job. "You're going to go to your father's law firm, right?"

"Yes, it is decided that way."

Ashley said harshly. Like the rest of her life, everything was as it should be for her. She also marries Melanie. Melanie, who had no idea what was going on, said with a smile.

"Your father would be so proud."

If anyone else had said that, Ashley would have laughed mercilessly. But she didn't do that to Melanie. Instead he said, "Yeah, probably." I vaguely said.

Fortunately, they arrived at the restaurant soon. As always, having her meal and chatting with her was relaxing and enjoyable. Whenever Ashley was with Melanie, she would smile faintly. That gave him confidence that she could do well in the future.

It was when I walked her home after the date that Ashley took out the ring she had prepared. Ashley got out of her car and stood in front of her house, took out her ring case from her arms and opened the lid.

Melanie's eyes widened even though it was probably expected already. Ashley said to her secretary as she handed Melanie the engagement ring she had purchased.

"Melanie, will you marry me?"

He didn't even kneel. It wasn't a romantic place at all, and it was just a stereotypical proposal without any rhetoric.

Nevertheless, Melanie's face was bright and shining with joy. She covered her mouth with both hands and was breathing heavily, barely able to nod her head. When she saw that, a faint smile appeared on Ashley's lips.
