In a wold were super power are common, were society is dictated by an endless war between heroes and villains, a divine child...
We are the 21 of octobre, year 189 after the Enlightenment. Here, in the Round Table Hold reunion room situated at the center of the great fortified mansion of Leyndell, stands the 10 greatest nights of the Golden Order with the 2 shard bearers and their old master. All of them were sitting at the round table discussing of their latest advance against AFO.
All of them, except Gran Torino and the young Toshinori Yagi, were wearing the crucible knight armor as a testimony to their membership in the 20 elites knights of the order. Since AFO's empire borders have been pushed back to their country of origine, military advances have been significantly slower and more difficult.
Outside of Japan, AFO's territories have been easily conquered back since he did not have enough time to properly settle in those lands. Also, even though AFO expected the Golden order to ultimately betray him and join the fight, he did not expected them to have planned it years before anything ever started.
However, taking all his conquest back outside of Japan was a long and tedious process, even for the Golden Order and their vast support provided by all leading governments. Because of this, AFO had time to recover from the devastating blow and in return fortifying everything he had done in Japan.
Three times the number one "heretic" of the world tried to attack Leyndell in retaliation. Three times he suffered a crushing defeat, has the capital of the Golden Order and birth place of the Erdtree became the mightiest bastion ever created in history. It was during his third siege of the city, where he suffered his greatest humiliation. Where by coming to destroy it himself, found out that his powers were nullified by the outer god's throne, towering over the city.
Since this day were he was almost captured he never dared to take the fight back directly to the capital.
The meeting of today was of the utmost importance, as AFO's latest HQ has just been discovered thanks to a long campaign of infiltration and information gathering. All the elite of the Golden Knights were preparing themselves for a large scale invasion on the complexe with legions of warriors. They were to make sure none could evacuate and retreat, whatever it would the leader or simple henchman.
Crucible Knight Shimura : Alright, this is the final time we are reviewing "operation Purifier" before we finalise our preparation and march to the traitor's base of operation. I want each and everyone of you showing me that you know your roles and are ready for it, so it can be our last major battle If the Greater Will allows it.
Crucible Knight Yatsuhiro : Commander Sawao and I have just come back from debriefing our infantry. They know of their assignements and the consequences of failure, none of those fiends shall escape us.
Crucible Knight Shizue : The Golden inquisition have done their job making sure no traitors were among our ranks. Father Nobuyoshi's latest recruit, the inquisitor Tsukauchi has been blessed with the gift to perceive any lies.
Crucible Knight Shimura : Excellent. has any black knives reported possible suspicions of our upcoming operation ? Do we have any exiting paquages to intercept ?
Crucible Knight Ninsei: They have reported nothing that would suggest our plans have been discovered, just the usual stress and pressure of working for this traitor showing. as for exiting paquages, the inquisition is ready to intervene.
Crucible Knight Shimura : Then that settles it, everyone be ready to depart in an hour. Today, brothers and sisters, all of this ends I can promise you that. Lady Marika's ascension to godhood and the arrival of the Greater Will shall not be tainted by the lingering presence of this bastard !

Once those words were spoken, all crucible knights except Nana Shimura left the room to get ready. She was about to do the same after exchanging a few words with her mentor and telling her successor to be brave and stay close to her during the fight when a golden maiden halted them in their tracks.
Hiroko : Excuse me to delay your preparation lady Shimura, but Mistress Marika require you presence at once.
Nana : There is no problem miss Yasui, you can go prepare yourselves the both of you. Don't worry everything I'm authorized to retell you I will.
Hiroko : That will not be necessary lay Shimura. Mistress Marika requires their presence as well.
Toshinori : R-really ?! I-I'm not sure I deserve...
Torino : Don't be stupid kid ! *smack him on the head* If her highness request your presence then you are worthy of it. You are a shard bearer in case you had forgotten.
Hiroko : She is waiting for us in the throne court, please follow me.
While the three of them followed the maiden to the throne court without a word, Toshinori could not help himself but to wounder at the majesty of the order's capital. It was magnificent medieval like city made of white marble, gold and heavily carved stone who yet accommodated all modern technologies.
Elevators, underground power lines and electricity systems, high teck security systems and giant screens with all restaurants, shops and services any modern citizens could need masterly fused with ancient architecture and style without disturbing them in any ways. It was dream come true for someone like him to witness the interior of the capital, as all of its inhabitants were either important members of the order, or people of very high social class.
Truthfully he was not particularly religious like most of the population, but like anyone else he had immense respect and admiration for the Golden Order who was truly a beacon of light and righteousness in the world. And like every kid of his age he wished to become a great knight of the order to defend the weak and fight for what is right.
Unfortunately it was a dream really hard to achieve, especially for people like him who lacked a blessing from the Greater Will and so, the signature and beautiful golden eyes. They were called the "graceless" or the "Tarnished" and looked upon or even caste aside by most of society. He was incredibly lucky to encounter his master Nana.
Hiroko : We have arrived, good luck lady Shimura and you two of course.
Those words took Toshinori out of his dreaming thoughts and brought him back to reality and the present. It took the intervention of Nana for him to not collide with a tree sentinel that was stationed at the entrance of the throne court. He excused himself and the trio marched forward, soon finding themselves in front of the most beautiful women he had ever seen.
