A/N

(Since we can't tag on Wattpad like Ao3, I wrote this a WHILE ago while drunk.)

. . .

Wednesday tugs at the tie once again, Enid gives a soft low growl at that.

"Will you stop that?" She gasps, there's the sound of her bones cracking but it stops a moment later. How interesting. Was she resisting the transformation? Enid's eyes shut once again, fur adorning her jawline and the color of the skin around her eyes were turning gray.

"What a strange moment to transform Sinclair."

Enid shakes her head, breathing heavily through her nose. "I can't. . . " She whispers.

Her bones crack again, she whimpers. Something in Wednesday's chest tugs painfully at the noise. She chooses to shove the feeling into a chained box in her mind and to never acknowledge it again.

"Why aren't you. . . " Wednesday pauses, "Wolfing out?" Enid doesn't respond, she is either ignoring Wednesday or she's too far into her own head.

Wednesday grips the tie once again, "Enid." She calls, Enid's hands twitch and her lips pull into a snarl.

"Stop, Addams." Enid hisses, her eyes were like a fire, gone the ocean was, this was not Enid. This was the wolf inside her, crawling its way out.

Wednesday ignores the obvious signs of her partner's ill temper. She raises her right hand to touch the lycan's face, fingers barely grazing the fur on her jaw. Enid breathes out, tense shoulders relaxing the tiniest bit.

What an interesting beast.

Enid was staring a hole into Wednesday's head, was her breathing getting heavier?

Wednesday glances up a moment, catching a glimpse of hooded eyes. ". . . The suspect got away."

Enid blinks owlishly, as if breaking free from a spell. Blood coats her chin, her hair, red in her blue button up, the blood pooling at the bottom of the tub.

What a bewitching sight.

"He. . . won't. . . get far." Wednesday makes a noise of acknowledgement. She supposes Enid was right, after the injuries he sustained from her partner, he wasn't making it anywhere but outside the apartment.

"For someone who despises blood, you've made such a mess. We're covered in it."

Enid doesn't seem to be listening, Wednesday's sure the wolf is howling, calling for release from the human body unable to withstand its rage.

Enid's eyes are hazy, her mouth is open, short fast paced breaths and Wednesday can see her canines grow from her position. Her face scrunches up in pain, her blonde hair illuminated by the window behind her, her bones crack once again. And Enid resists once again.

"This would be over faster if you would— "

"Stop fucking talking." She snaps, teeth bared. Wednesday arches a brow. It seems Sinclair does have a bit of a bite to her.

Enid sucks in a deep breath, before she makes a move to remove herself from above Wednesday.

"Let's go find the idiot— "

Wednesday tugs Enid down once again by her tie. "No."

Enid eyebrows furrow, "What? He'll get away— "

"You are a danger to the suspect. We need him alive."

Abruptly, the lycan snarls, baring her teeth in the Addams face. Far too close, Wednesday considers for a moment if she should teach this mutt some manners. Wednesday thinks of what Eugene would want and no, he would want for her to solve this damn case and catch the fool who shot him. And Detective Sinclair was a valuable asset.

"I am not a danger to the suspect Wednesday," Enid tries to pull away again, Wednesday follows after.

"I disagree, you nearly ripped his throat out Sinclair. It seems you can't control yourself."

Enid's eyes darken and one could see the moment the wolf takes over, Wednesday could almost smile.

Her nostrils flare, she grabs a fistful of Wednesday's shirt, pulling the woman impossibly closer. "You have no idea how much I held myself back."

"Clearly not enough. All this blood belongs to him."

Enid inches closer, her warm breath against Wednesday's face. "You don't know how much I wanted to gut him until he was on the floor gasping for mercy." She whispers, the fire in her eyes turning red. Wednesday's lips part the slightest bit. "Begging me to not kill him. To not rip his throat out with my teeth." Yes. This was not Enid speaking, perhaps a side to herself she isn't even aware of.

An inferno ignites in Wednesday's chest, spreading down into her abdomen, disturbing the nest of bats in her stomach.

A betrayal from her body, Wednesday feels her cheeks warm.

How revolting. How absurd.

"So don't you dare say I have no self control. I'm sorry If I was angered by the sight of his hands around your neck." Wednesday blinks, her eyebrows crease.

Wednesday is not given a chance to form a response, Enid groans, her claws cutting into Wednesday's shirt, her body falling against the Addams as her own trembles from the pain of her transformation.

"Sinclair," Wednesday's hand finds her partner's back. This was troubling, Enid was pressing up against her, something no one was ever allowed to do— Not even Eugene— and yet Wednesday felt no urge to push her away.

How utterly vexing.

Enid's hands find Wednesday's back, her claws digging through her blazer and into the pale flesh underneath. Wednesday winces, from surprise really, the pain was welcomed. It cleared her thoughts.

"How long does this last?" And no, her voice was not soft.

Enid doesn't respond, simply shakes her head and hides her face in the crook of Wednesday's neck. The Addams stiffens, turning into a statue. Wednesday doesn't breathe, doesn't make a sound.

Enid hides herself there for minutes, it feels like hours of torture. Such a distinct pain. To feel Enid's warmth against her cold body, it was burning Wednesday up.

Her breathing eventually calms, what was once uneven breaths, are now slow and deep. Wednesday exhales quietly through her nose when Enid shifts, blonde hair tickling the skin of Wednesday's jaw.

Their suspect could get away with how long they were taking. Enid whimpers and Wednesday's mouth moves without her command. "Focus, Enid. . . " What would make this transformation cease?

"I'm trying." She whispers, and her voice cracks.

Wednesday thinks of Eugene and what he would do. She bites back a grimace because Eugene would tell her to comfort the lycan.

"You refuse to transform."

Enid sighs, her body slumping. "I don't refuse. I can't."

Wednesday stays silent, digesting the information. "You can't turn?" Were the files mistaken? Perhaps she should get Thing involved.

"Is this really the time to ask?"

Wednesday says, "I can't dismiss my curiosity." Enid simply hums, nuzzling a little closer, forgetting who this was she was pressing against. The nerve, Wednesday hated this. Hated the fact that she didn't despise this.

"I'll tell you later, partner."

Wednesday's fingers twitch against Enid's back, "I'll hold you to that wolf." They'll be here for a while.
