I sighed as I turned the water off. I grabbed my towel and wrapped it around my body through the shower curtain. I looked at the steamy mirror and ran my hand over it to remove some. I gasped. I didn't see my reflection. I didn't see an eraser like last time either. I saw a young girl with brown eyes filled with sorrow and black hair that was so matted it looked impossible to brush. She was covered in scars and was wearing a small white dress. Her cheeks were sunken and dark and she was sickly pale.

I clutched my towel as I ran past Fang into our room. I fell to the floor as loud gasps escaped my mouth. I heard the door open and close meaning Fang was now in the room.

"Max?" He asked quietly, kneeling next to me. "What's wrong?" I shook my head. "Did you see the eraser again?"

"N-no. I-I saw a girl. She didn't look any older than 14. And she looked so sick."

I do look sick, don't I?

My head shot straight up. The voice?

Then again, I wouldn't know. I haven't seen a mirror in years.

Voice? I asked. It didn't sound like the voice, it sounded younger. And with an accent. From where I didn't know.

I suppose you can call me that, but I prefer my name.

You're not my voice?

Not the one from before. My name is Sasha and I am 14 years old. I don't know my last name. I was the girl you saw in the mirror.

You're the girl?! How were you able to show me you?!

I don't know. I don't understand my powers. Maybe you can help me understand. You're the only one who I can talk to. I believe it's because we are soulmates.

I frowned. Uh, I'm married. And I'm too old for you. And not gay. I was surprised when I could hear Sasha laughing in my head.

Not that kind of soulmate! There are three kinds; The Complete Stranger Soulmate, The Friendship Soulmate, and The Lover Soulmate. Your husband is your Lover Soulmate. I believe I am your Complete Stranger Soulmate.

Okay...what does that mean?

The Complete Stranger means that when you see a certain person for the first time, you immediately feel a connection with them. The connection can be stronger, for example, being able to talk to each other telepathically.

But I've never seen you before!

But I've seen you. When you were escaping. You ran past my cell.

You're at the Other School?!

I am. And I need your help.
