🥀 | Chapter Twenty - Five

It wasn't the first time I saw strange happenings in the town of Forks, I thought I was going crazy, there were pictures in my room that had moved and I was pretty sure someone was visiting my room. I was sure that someone was watching my movements outside and it wasn't long before I told dad that I wanted to move in with mom and Bella permanently and not visit Forks anymore.

After I left Forks permanently, the events stopped.

It wasn't long before I met my boyfriend, with whom we spent two years together. We went to movies, parties and partied on the beach until morning. Bella preferred to be at home, so she helped me escape through the window at night without my mother and her new boyfriend noticing.

It was Halloween in 2004 when we traveled to my good friend's house in a small town near Atlanta with my boyfriend and a few friends. We went to the Halloween party that October night and that's when the nightmare started. I was dressed as the devil, in a black and red dress and high heels, and I was crowned with horns on my head.

Someone had managed to smuggle alcohol into the party and of course I drank. I saw my boyfriend that night kissing another girl and I drank more to my sorrow. I met a stranger dressed in a black suit and he had a mask on his face, so I never saw his face. He tried to cheer me up in every way and he was curious about me.

I told him about the previous events and he soon made me forget my sadness. Until my cheating boyfriend saw us.

He was angry and drunk and tried to hit and attack this stranger who quickly fought him off and my ex left after a few barked words. After that night, I never saw this mysterious unknown person again, he gave me a red rose and disappeared.

My ex had disappeared after that evening and my friends and I had to go back home without him. A few days passed and he was no longer seen at school, his parents started to worry and soon we all caught that we had been at a party.

A week later, his bloody body was found in a small town near Atlanta. The culprit was never caught and we were all questioned about the events of that evening, but I never told about this mystery person I met.

It felt like an eternity, a burning sensation took over my body and it lasted forever, I felt it flow inside me little by little upwards. I don't know if I was dead or asleep.

Sometimes I heard footsteps around me which was strange because I couldn't wake up or talk. In one moment I felt a burning pressure rising towards my heart and I felt my heart stop and soon I opened my eyes.

I blinked quietly and slowly, looking at the room, which was dark, dusk till dawn. But my vision was perfect, I could still see like in the daytime and I noticed that my hearing was also good. My senses were intense and I was amazed. I was confused about what had happened and in my thoughts I tried to put together the pieces and the missing ones.

Thoughts raced through my head and soon the missing pieces fell into place and I remembered. I sat up in a flash and felt the anger rising in my body, I clenched the sheets in my fists and felt like I was going to tear them.

My senses which were strong sensed something next to me and I turned my head like a predator to look next to the bed.

"You're finally awake." She spoke getting up from the chair and I followed her movements to the edge of the bed. I watched as she sat on it and stared at me with red eyes.

"You must be confused and angry. Are you hungry?" She asked and I eyed her appearance. To human eyes they were beautiful, but to these eyes their being was something even more beautiful.

What do I look like myself, are my eyes red like theirs? I never wanted this to happen, especially this quickly. I slowly got up from the bed and walked towards the mirror in the corner of the room. I didn't even need to take a deep breath anymore and looked at myself in the mirror. My brown hair was shinier and thicker, my skin was white as snow and flawless. I was flawless overall, I slowly lifted my eyes up and fixed them on my own eyes that were staring blood red.

I stared at my own reflection in silence, heard the conversation in the castle and the wind outside. The blood red eyes just stared back. I grabbed the mirror and threw it across the room, in a fit of rage I stood there staring at the broken glass on the floor.

The door of the room opened quietly and I felt two people enter but I didn't pay attention to them. "Is she okay?" Felix asked worriedly and Demetri cleared his throat. "What would you think if you were forcibly changed." He muttered, forgetting that I could hear them perfectly. "Shut your mouths you idiots." Jane hissed at them and I turned to look at the trio.

"You look beautiful." Felix said in distress scratching his head and I stared blankly at them. Demetri stepped forward carefully and I turned my eyes to him. "Are you hungry? We got you a couple of humans..." Demetri said but was interrupted by a snarl coming from me. "I don't want to suck human's blood."

"But..." Jane stood up and I scowled again. "No buts! I'm not going to touch human or kill them!" I yelled, feeling the anger rise again.

The poison rose in my mouth and I tried to speed away, Felix and Demetri tried to stop but I managed to throw them away. "Wow she is strong." Felix said and Jane glared at him. "She's a newborn."

I sped into the hall of the castle and stopped, I could hear the blood rushing and the heart beating. I took a deep breath and my eyes fell on a woman who was sitting on a chair by the table. "Hello Aurora." She greeted standing up and my eyes darkened. I could smell blood and even though I gritted my teeth I felt it pull me towards her and I sped up to her, slamming my teeth into her neck.

I felt the woman's heartbeat slow and soon stop, I dropped the body to the floor and stared at it for a moment before looking up as the trio entered the lobby.

"Maybe it was time for her to die." Felix said and Demetri nudged him.

"Where is he?" I asked looking at Jane narrowing my eyes.
