"Charles Luvet was found floating in a Miami marina last night." JJ informed them turning back to face them after putting a picture up on the screen "Local m. E. Thinks that he was only in the water about an hour."

"any attempt to weigh the body down?" Hotch asked.

"Doesn't appear to be," JJ said taking a seat at the table.

"The dumping could be convenient, As opposed to a means of hiding the crime" Derek suggested.

"Well, he's the third victim found in Miami over the last two months." JJ looked up at him briefly as she spoke.

"Though the locations of the bodies are different, Many of the elements are the same--All males, 25 to 35, all traveling, all asphyxiated With no signs of sexual assault."

"but tourists could be just simple robbery." Derek pointed out.

"Well, there are some personal items missing."

"He's targeting travelers for a reason," Hotch stated.

"You guys notice the red flag on the autopsy report?" Rossi asked.

"Yeah. None of the hyoid bones were fractured." Derek said. "no visual signs of trauma. No ligature marks. Yet, the unsub still managed to asphyxiate grown men."

"chokehold?" Soren suggested, "Doesn't leave any signs of trauma." He pointed out.

"it would also be a way of controlling a male." Spencer commented "A powerful grip from behind gives the unsub all the leverage. None of these victims look out-of-shape or easy to control. In fact, they all look remarkably fit."

"Well, as I said, the recovery locations are very different." JJ spoke "Charles luvet was found in the water. Daniel Brown was partially buried in the shallow sand dune. Paul Hayes was stuffed into a dumpster."

"That's not much of an effort to hide any of them," Emily noted.

"They were all found in high-traffic areas," Rossi said.

"Miami PD is asking for our help, Considering there are currently 4 other men missing That match this victimology," JJ explained.

"I can dig up what I can on the victims from their hometowns," Garcia told her.

"Miami is a mecca for potential targets, And anyone traveling is more vulnerable than they normally would be," Hotch remarked.

JJ fidgeted with the pen in her hand using it like a pointer aimed at Hotch "Case in point, Charles Luvet, the latest victim, He was a vacationing cop."

"ugh...agh. Is it always this hot?" Spencer complained as they left the air-conditioned vehicle and stepped out into the warm air of Florida.

Derek watched two women walk past "Every day, all day." He commented.

"That's South Beach," Rossi said.

"That's not what I'm talking about," Spencer told them.

"Yeah, they know," Soren remarked.

"Fbi." A woman in a red dress walked up to them.

"Yes," Derek answered.

"Detective Lopez, Miami PD." She introduced herself.

"Oh, um, morgan..." He shook hands with her after introducing himself.

"Derek." He introduced himself again and held her hand for a bit too long. Soren had to stop himself from laughing at their little interaction.

"Tina." She said before pulling her hand away. "So, thank you for coming down so quickly."

JJ shook her hand as well "Agent Jareau--Jj. We spoke on the phone."

"Yes."

"These are agents Hotchner, Prentiss, Rossi, Derek, Volk, and Dr. Reid." JJ introduced the team.

"Well, I hope there's no test because I'm lousy with names," Tina commented

"Agent will be fine," Rossi assured.

Emily nudged Soren and pointed over to where a familiar face was stepping out of the car "Hey, isn't that--"

"Detective Lamontagne just arrived from New Orleans To i. D. The cop they pulled from the bay last night," Tina explained as Will walked over to the group. Neither Soren nor Emily missed how JJ played with her hair as Will approached.

"Detective, it's good to see you," JJ said as she shook hands with him.

"How are you? Yeah." Will questioned "Charlie Luvet and I worked together for 7 years. We haven't formally i. D. Ed him yet, But we believe it's him." Will informed.

"Sorry for your loss, man," Derek said.

"So, you all know each other?" Tina asked

"Professionally," JJ told her.

"Yeah. The bau helped me out on a case about a year ago." Will explained "Just for the sake of clarity, I'm not here to investigate. Charlie was supposed to be married this August, So if the guy that floated up last night was him, I guess I have the honor of notifying his fiancee, So she's gonna need some answers, and closure, And I'm just here to get that for her."
