Little Koko awoke to a rainy thundering day. She thought about feeling grey like the sky, but remembered the fact that she recently chose to enjoy rainy days. Puddles were fun to splash in. No need to bathe that night as you get a free shower from the sky. Sometimes school would cancel. What wasn't to love? Ah yes, the joys of all your nice clothing getting soaked and thrown away. Quite fun. Koko walked down stairs in her blue pajamas, making sure to pause before the last step to jump over it. She stopped herself before the radio, sitting down on a chair. Koko listened in to the radio, silently praying that her school is cancelled... c'mon... c'mon, get to the part with the schools, dumb news reporter! Suddenly, the reported brought up the news for weather.

"Today, March 6th of 2024, we will be experiencing a high of 12 degrees and a low of 4. Expect a large amount of rain within the next few hours! The schools shut down in this area are... Ichima High. Ichima Elementary. Hana Yuki School of Acceptance. Soruche Musume Elementary. Soruche Musume Secondary. Chitakyo High." the news reporter stated.

Little Koko groaned and slid down onto the table. She attended Chitakyo Elementary! Koko hesitantly prepared herself for school. After putting on her oversized rain boots, Koko skipped outside straight into a big, deep puddle. The gross muddy water splashed into her boots. It was an uncomfortable feeling, but it was somewhat comforting. Koko trotted to school, her big boots dragging across the ground. As little Koko arrived at school, she approached Natsu, who was awaiting Koko's appearance. Koko smiled and walked to her class with Natsu. The day was quite boring, but normal. Koko had normal, boring classes. As lunchtime approached, Koko began to yawn, as she was tired from waking up so early to hear the radio. The teacher, doing what teachers do, taught young Koko. Koko felt her eyes droop down, so she let her head rest on her desk for a bit. Suddenly, she raised her head... where did everyone go? Is it already lunch time? The only people that were still accompanying Koko were Mrs. Shiya and Natsu. Shiya was cleaning the chalk board and Natsu was waiting next to Koko, eating a sandwich. "Egg salad today?" Koko asked, still tired. "Yep!" Natsu replied, "I saved half of it for you." "Mm! That's good. You can have one of my chicken balls," Koko smiled, "Also, I brought an extra candy for you today." "Wow, really?" Natsu asked, excited, "You're the best, Koko."

Later that day, little Koko walked outside. School is now over. While walking home, Koko was approached by Okiyaro. "Okiyaro!" Koko shouted out, running towards the sweet old lady, "Okiyaro, I missed you!" Koko eloped Okiyaro into a big hug. "It's so nice to see you, Koko!" Okiyaro returned the hug, but later softened and pulled away gently, kneeling down to Koko's height. "Koko, I have something important to say," Okiyaro's expression slowly contorted to a sad one, "I'm pained as much to say this as I am happy to see you every day, but..." Okiyaro took a deep breath. She knew it wasn't that bad, but it would still greatly pain Koko, especially due to how old little Koko was. "Koko," Okiyaro released her breath, "I will be retiring on the 16th of this month." "Oh?" Koko tilted her head but then smiled, "Don't worry, Okiyaro! Even if you are retirderded, I still love you!" Koko smiled, turning around to leave, "Have a great evening!" Okiyaro sighed. Koko clearly did not know the definition of retirement, however maybe it would be for the best if Koko didn't know.

Koko skipped her way to 224 and called out for Miyo. Koko waited. And waited.

And waited.

And waited.

Koko looked around, noticing Miyo hiding under the air vent between 224 and 226. Koko smiled, "You don't wanna get wet, huh?" Koko squeezed her way into the alley, leaving her umbrella behind. She took out her chicken ball, trying not to let any of the sauce get patterned away by the rain. Koko placed the ball underneath the air vent and licked the sauce off the space between her fingers. "I can't pet you, or I'm gonna get wet myself!" Koko announced, running back to her umbrella. Koko walked home and fell asleep from her long day.
