I walk into my next class, searching for the one person I've been wanting to see ever since I woke up.
I spot her in the corner of the room, purposefully hiding herself behind her textbook thinking I wouldn't see her.
"Yang Haerin, I'm gonna fucking murder you." I say, storming over to her.
Haerin is, unfortunately, my twin sister. This girl decides that if I'm not up by the time she's ready to go, she's just going to leave without me, which is exactly what she did this morning.
"Nuh uh, you were the one who slept through your alarm. I wasn't about to be late just cause you're incompetent at waking up on time." She says, rolling her eyes.
"You still could've woke me up! I was so fucking late I got yelled at."
"That's not my fault."
"Bitch..." I mumble, sitting down at the desk next to her.
"What was that?" She asks, glaring at me.
"Nothing." I sigh. "Oh! When I opened my locker this morning, a note fell out. Look."
I pull the purple envelope out of my pocket, handing it to my sister.
"A letter? What is this, the 19 hundreds?" She asks, snatching the letter out of my hand.
Haerin opens the envelope, takes out the note, and quickly reads it.
"Holy shit, you have a secret admirer. Who the fuck would admire you..."
"Okay, fuck you."
"Wait, what's going on? Ooo, what's that?" Sunoo asks, sitting down next to me and Haerin.
"Jungwon has a secret admirer." She says.
"What?! Lemme see!" Sunoo exclaims, snatching the note from Haerin.
"Guys be careful with that, oh my god." I say, glaring at the two.
"Who the fuck is honey?" He asks, handing me back the note.
"That's exactly what I said!"
"No one that goes here has the name honey..."
"Well no shit, they aren't gonna put their actual name. It's a secret admirer Sunoo." Haerin says.
"Can you guys be quiet? The whole world doesn't need to know this." I say. "And don't go telling anyone. Especially you Sunoo."
"I can't make any promises. I tell Sunghoon everything so..."
"You two annoy me. Break up already."
"Fuck no, that's never happening so deal with it." Sunoo says, furrowing his eyebrows.
Just then, Haerins eyes widen a bit as she looks back and forth between me and something.
I look behind me to see Jay walking toward us.
I hide the note, not daring to look at him. I was still embarrassed from this morning.
"Hey Sun." Jay says, standing in front of Sunoo's desk.
"Hey Jay, what's up?"
"Can you give this to Sunghoon for me? He wanted it before practice and I can't find him." He says, handing something to Sunoo, but I couldn't see what it was.
"Yeah, sure. Oh yeah, can you tell Niki I want my fucking headphones back? He stole my shit while I was waiting for Sunghoon like 2 days ago and never gave them back."
"Mhm. You better hope he didn't break them." Jay chuckles, causing Sunoo to groan.
"He better not have or you guys will be down a player for the rest of the season."
"Shit, I gotta go. Thanks though Sun. See you at practice." He says, hurrying out of the classroom.
"Fuck, I thought I was gonna piss my pants." I sigh.
"Just tell him you like him already, this is annoying." Haerins says.
"No! We rarely talk so it would make no sense if I was just like "Hey I really like you please be my boyfriend." I would embarrass the fuck out of myself."
"Pussy." Sunoo says.
"I hate both of you."
"You know what? You're coming to the basketball practice with me today, whether you're any to or not."
"Um, absolutely not." I say.
"Well too fucking bad, you're going with me. Plus, I'm tired of just sitting there waiting for Sunghoon to get done by myself." He says. "You're friends with some of the players anyway, so it's fine if you go."
"And if I just leave, what'll you do?"
"Hunt you down and bring you with me anyway."
I sigh. "Fine."
