"Are you really gonna get freaky with Sunghoon on school grounds?" I asked Sunoo who walked next to me.

It was finally lunchtime, meaning I'd get to spend the next 35 minutes goofing off with Sunoo.

Haerin was a part of our school's dance club, which meant she would always be with the rest of the members during lunch, so it was always just me and Sunoo.

"No? That idiot falls for it every time." Sunoo laughs.

"You're evil."

"Yet... he always manages to get us to do something. Can't really complain."

I looked over at Sunoo a bit disgusted, and to which he just chuckled.

"Sunoo! Jungwon! Wait up!" We hear someone yell from behind us.

"Speak of the devil..." Sunoo mumbles.

Sunghoon jogged toward us, and unfortunately for me, Jay was following right behind him.

I whisper yell to Sunoo "Fuck fuck fuck, Jay-"

"There you are, babe! I was looking everywhere for you." Sunghoon said with a big smile.

"Oh!... Were you?..."

"Yup. Let's go, we don't have much time." He says, taking Sunoo's hand and starting to drag him away.

"Nuh-uh! You can't just take him! Who am I gonna have lunch with?" I yelled to Sunghoon, who was still dragging Sunoo away from me.

"Jay will keep you company!"

Sunoo looked back at me, mouthing "I'm sorry" as he was dragged away by his idiot boyfriend.

You have to be fucking kidding me.

I slowly turn my head, looking at Jay through the corner of my eye.

He suddenly turned his head toward me, making my heart flutter.

FUCK why is he looking at me?...

"Looks like you're my lunch buddy for today." Jay smiles.

"Y-yeah... You don't have to sit with me if you don't want to..." I say, my tone shy and quiet.

"No, it's okay. I want to sit with you."

Holy shit.

"O-oh, okay."

"Come on, I know a nice place we can sit." Jay says, gently grabbing my hand and leading me down the hallway.

I could even process what was happening.

I just stared at his back as he dragged me through the halls. His blonde hair was slightly bouncy when he turned to look back at me. His shoulders were wide, but they looked even more attractive from the back.

He was so tall... and his hands were so soft...

Wait.

He's holding my fucking hand.

Jay Park is holding MY hand.

My heart started to race, and my face started to burn. I hung my head low, not wanting him to see that I looked like a strawberry with a full head of hair.

When we made it to a staircase, and there was no one around, he still didn't let go of my hand.

We walked up the flight of stairs till we reached a door. Jay looked back at me and smiled before opening the door, revealing the school's rooftop.

"Woah... since when did this exist?" I say, amazed by the view of the scenery below us.

"We've always had this. I like coming up here sometimes after school, even during lunch if I want a quiet lunch."

Jay finally let go of my hand and walked toward the railing, leaning on the bar and looking up at the clouds.

I just stood by the door, taking in the sight.

The sun reflecting off his tan skin made my heart skip a beat.

Jay then sat down, leaning his back on the railing. He patted the space next to him, signaling for me to sit next to him.

I swallowed the lump in my throat, hesitantly walking over and sitting down on the ground.

"You know, you're the only person I've told about this spot. Not even Sunghoon knows."

I furrowed my eyebrows. "Why only me?"

Jay didn't answer though. He just sighed, pulling out a small lunch box from his bag.

He took off the lid, revealing apple slices and a little container with a thick, golden substance inside.

"What's that?" I ask.

"This?" He asks, pointing to the small container, to which I nod. "It's honey."

"Oh. Is that really all you're going to eat?"

"Yeah..."

I open my backpack, pull out my lunchbox, and set it on my lap. I open it, showing Jay its contents.

"You can have some of mine. I usually don't finish it anyway..." I say.

"No no, you eat it. I'm okay."

"Mm-mm," I hum, shaking my head. "Let's half my sandwich at least."

I take out my sandwich, which was an egg salad sandwich Haerin made me. It was cut in half and wrapped separately to keep it in shape, so I took out one of the pieces and handed it to Jay.

"I didn't poison it, I swear." I say.

Jay laughs, eventually taking the half.

God his laugh was addicting.

"Can I ask something?" I ask.

"Sure."

"Why honey? I thought people usually used caramel or something as a dip for apples."

"I just really like honey. It's been my weird obsession since I was little I guess."

I couldn't help but smile. That was so cute to me, and I don't even really know why...

Neither of us really said much after that. We just sat there, eating our lunches in silence and enjoying each other's company.

It was nice to not talk for once. With Sunoo, we would just talk away, barely even eating our lunches because neither of us could shut our mouths.

It was different with Jay. He was just... quiet.

I liked the silence.
