Chapter 7.
Paige fluffed my hair a bit to show what she had done, and held a mirror behind me so I could see how it looked. I bit my lip to hold back the gigantic grin that was surfacing at the sight of what I looked like. My copper hair, though I loved it long, was even more gorgeous cut to this length.
My hair just brushed my shoulders, but was long enough that I would still be able to put it up. The front was a lot shorter than in the back, creating an innocent looking face frame. There were side bangs that I knew I would constantly move away from my face, however Paige had secured them behind my ear. Deciding I would look better with them pulled to the front, I tugged it and let it fall.
Lucian had been the one to speak, and I when I turned to look at him I noticed how he was admiring my new look. He gave me an approving smile before approaching me and running his fingertips along the ends of my hair. Paige huffed, warning him not to ruin my hair before I met the rest of my family and the important pack members. He rolled his green eyes before pressing a loving kiss to my lips.
"You look beautiful, I love it." He turned his head to look at me through the mirror, and examined me. I knew he was trying to get used to the new haircut.
"Doesn't this look familiar." Paige chuckled softly to herself, her eyes moving between Lucian and I. "It feels like yesterday I was preparing Celia, all for different reasons of course, but I still managed to impress the mate."
"Thank you." I commented, blushing as I ran my hand around the cute layered hair. "Both of you."
"My pleasure." She grinned, satisfactorily kissing the crown of my head before spinning to leave. "I'll see you in the dining hall."
Paige left, and it was when she turned that I noticed something. "You're pregnant."
She frozen and turned to look at me with a sad smile. "It seems like I'm not the only one." After that she exited the bathroom and left to obviously go to the place where we would be eating. I sucked in a nervous breath.
Turning back to myself in the mirror, I examine myself nervously. My violet eyes were surrounding by a thin layer of mascara, since I had been born with black thick lashes Paige said I didn't need much. My lightly sun kissed skin seemed my prominent, but it must've been my short hair that showed it off. My copper locks seemed straighter than normal, but I knew it wasn't because Paige had only dried it with a hairdryer.
I straightened out my polka dotted dress after I stood up. I tugged on the fabric on my shoulders, hoping it wouldn't rip because it was so thin. Lucian took my hand, and guided me over to him where we were perfectly aligned; chest to chest. We locked eyes, and I knew it would be impossible to remove my eyes from his enlightening ones.
He held up his hand, and I averted my eyes from his to look at it. In it was a velvet box, and I snapped my head to look at him. "What's this?"
"Your late birthday present." He rumbled, before placing it into my folded hands. "It's nothing big, but it's special."
Hesitantly, I opened it and gasped at the beauty of what was inside. I was a beautiful bracelet covered in what looked to be an expensive purple gem. It gleamed every time the light hit it, and I gasped at the amazing beauty of it. The elegance it had was indescribable, and I shakily attached it to my left wrist.
"It's lovely." My voice shook as I finished speaking, and I sucked in a sort breath. "It's so beautiful, Lucian."
"I'm relieved you like it." He breathed, helping me snap it in place. "I had to get you something that reminded me of you, and what better than to buy something that reminded me of your eyes."
