My wolf had been so excited when he sliced my cheek to drink from me.
It was a weird thing to be excited about, but nevertheless my heart beats rapidly.
I was almost scared he would hear it, but he seemed too focused on me being there, allowing him to drink from me, to notice.
I walk up the spiral staircase leading to the room in which Althaea is in.
Once at the door I knock once before unlocking the door and opening it.
I step into the room, searching for her body everywhere.
It's empty.
I growl, walking out of the room and slamming the door behind me.
I take the steps quickly, searching through the halls for her.
I walk past my door and past all the guest rooms, turning the corner to the dining room.
I watch Alastor enter a closet, glancing over his shoulder before closing the door.
My stomach drops and my eyebrows furrow.
I walk silently up to the door, not even having to press my ear to the door to hear.
Alastor and-
Althaea.
Tears burn my vision as I stumble away, covering my mouth with my hand to stop the sobs.
As I turn the corner again I knock into a maid and make her drop all of her things.
The clatter of the tray echoes throughout the hallway, and she frantically apologizes.
" I'm so sorry, " I whispers wiping my tears as I help her.
" My princess, are you okay? " She asks after thanking me for helping her.
" I- " I hear the closet door open behind me and I freeze, letting out another sob.
The maid looks behind me to where I assume Alastor and Althaea stand, and she frowns in understanding.
" I apologize, your majesty. I'll send something up for you, okay, princess? "
She doesn't look at me as she glares.
" Tell my dad, please. " I whisper and she nods.
I turn the corner fully this time, wiping my tears as I make my way up the stairs to my bedroom.
" Zharian! " Alastor screams after me.
My wolf whines in anger, I feel her ears flatten.
" Princess - " Althaea's voices is next.
Her voice elicts a full growl from me as I turn, my wolfs teeth replacing mine and eyes full of anger as I stare at them.
" You don't deserve anything good that comes your way. I hope the sisters punish you with everything they have. I hope your whole worlds crumble. Alastor, I hope Osiris rips you limb by limb and hangs a different part of you in each room. "
" Princess - " Althaea tries again.
I growl, making my way towards her.
" You- " My wolf whines as I grab her by the neck. " You will be executed by my very hands. I'm going to hang your head in my room, and feel the rest of you to the first beast I can find. "
Althaea sobs and Alastor goes to comfort her.
My dad appears at the end of the hall, eyes wide and angry.
" Alastor! " He yells, fists clenched at his sides.
Althaea jumps in front of Alastor, " My king it was my fault. " My wolf tears against my chest, " He only did it because I had seduced him. "
And I broke.
I let out a whine as my wolf came to the surface, releasing the secret I tried so hard to keep.
