The Volturi king in the movie does exist but they were already dead after the civil war that happened between the fight of the Volturi Queens and The Volturi Kings making The Volturi Queens emerged victories and manage to kill the kings along with cutting off the mind control that the kings did in the whole Volturi Coven hundred years ago making the Volturi have more control and respect for the three Queens.

this is gonna be Edwardbashing and maybe some of charsliebasking too but there is not gonna be a Bellabashing because in this case is Bella have a memory lose of who she really is and Bella's real age is 22 making her sisters Elizabeth and Bellatrix 23 making them one year gap and also Bella doesn't look like a 22 years old in the twilight saga is because they give her a potion to look like a 17 years old.
Note:
Bella lost her memory and went missing after one year of the end of the war which is 19 years old and one more thing on why Jane didn't feel the mate bond between her and Bella is because of the potion that changed Bella that making her not herself anymore but Jane did felt a tug on her chest when she saw Bella but brush it off because she didn't know what it was and it's not strong enough to make her attention spilt to her.
