As the days turned into weeks and the weeks into a month, Reneé's attempts to reach out to Natasha went unanswered, each unanswered call and text feeling like a dagger to her heart. She couldn't shake the feeling of emptiness that had settled over her since Natasha had withdrawn from social media and seemingly disappeared from her life.

As Reneé busily pieced together her VMA plan, her mind abuzz with ideas on how to touch Natasha's heart, her phone rang, interrupting her thoughts. Glancing at the caller ID, she saw it was Alyah. With a quick swipe, she answered, anticipation coursing through her veins.

"Hey, Yaya" Reneé greeted, her voice tinged with excitement.

"Nae, guess what? The nominations are out!" Alyah's voice crackled with excitement on the other end of the line. "and bitch you're lucky. Natasha is also be going to be at the VMAs!"

Reneé's heart skipped a beat at the news, a surge of hope flooding through her. "Are you serious? But why?" she exclaimed, her pulse quickening with anticipation.

"Yes, I just saw it online" Alyah confirmed. "She was nominated for Best Video with you for one of your songs!"

Reneé's mind whirled with possibilities so she could do something in person looking at Natasha's eyes, her thoughts racing a mile a minute. This was it—the perfect opportunity to reach out to Natasha, to show her how much she meant to her, to make things right between them.

"I have an idea" Reneé said, her voice filled with determination.

As Natasha meticulously worked on developing her recent photographs in her apartment, her mind drifted incessantly to thoughts of Reneé. Despite her best efforts to focus on her work, Reneé's presence lingered like a haunting melody, weaving its way through every corner of her mind.

With each click of the camera shutter and each stroke of the editing brush, Natasha found herself lost in memories of their time together—their shared laughter, the warmth of Reneé's embrace, the love that had blossomed between them.

She longed to reach out to Reneé, to hear her voice, to see her smile, but the fear of rejection held her back, a heavy weight that seemed impossible to shake. She hated people saying bad things to her, like she wasn't worth it and someone like Reneé should be with another famous person, it was just too much. It reminded her of her horrible past.

Despite her inner turmoil, Natasha knew that she couldn't continue to wallow in despair. She had work to do, deadlines to meet, and a passion for photography that burned brighter than ever within her soul.

As Natasha worked diligently in her apartment, her phone suddenly rang, interrupting her focus. Glancing at the caller ID, she saw it was Maya.

"Hey, Maya" Natasha greeted warmly, her voice tinged with anticipation.

"Nat, did you see the news?!" Maya's voice crackled with excitement on the other end of the line. "The video you produced for Reneé's song has been nominated for a VMA!"

A rush of adrenaline surged through Natasha's veins at the news, her heart pounding with excitement. "Are you serious?" she exclaimed, barely able to contain her enthusiasm.

As Maya shared the news of the VMA nomination and the possibility of Natasha meeting Reneé again at the awards ceremony, Natasha's heart skipped a beat. The thought of seeing Reneé once more, of being in her presence after all this time, filled her with a mix of excitement and trepidation.

"I don't know about this" Natasha said, her voice tinged with uncertainty. "I don't know if I should see Reneé, what if she doesn't want to see me again? I don't know if I am ready."

"Don't worry too much, Nat" Maya reassured her, her voice filled with confidence. "I have a feeling Reneé will be thrilled to see you. And if you win, you'll have to go up on stage together. It'll be a chance to put everything behind you and celebrate your success together. You love her, that is clear, maybe it's not about being ready and you should just try to be happy."

Natasha's mind raced with a whirlwind of emotions at the thought of reuniting with Reneé on such a grand stage. Despite the lingering doubts and fears that plagued her mind, a glimmer of hope flickered within her heart—a hope that perhaps, amidst the chaos and the excitement of the VMAs, they could find a way to reconnect, but also how? To bridge the gap that had kept them apart.

"Okay, M" Natasha said, her voice filled with determination. "I'll do it. I'll go to the awards ceremony, and if we win, I'll go up on stage with Reneé. It's time to face this."
