It had been a few days since Mio had seen KID. She finally cleaned her flat and planned to meet up with her only childhood crush. The problem was that this plan required Kudo-kun well Conan to be frank but it would be weird if she asked him to go with her. I mean who wouldn't have doubts when your partner's sister asks you to go to a cafe in Edoka with her? So Mio thought of something that wouldn't make her look suspicious and it was a plan in which Conan himself would come with her.
4days after the blush mermaid incident At Prof's home with Ai, Conan, and Mio who just burst in.
Mio: I found a great cafe to visit. You'll come with me, right? (Looking at the shrunken teenagers with puppy eyes)
Conan&Ai: Huh? Where did that come from suddenly?
Mio: You see there is this cafe in Edoka that is famous for being the best in Eastern Japan. I've got coupons for a table of 3 and they expire tonight. The coupon is applicable only if 3 members are present. So, you'll do me a favor and accompany me right?
Conan: You could have taken Ran and the others right?
Mio: Ya but the coupon is for 3 members, not 4. If I take Ran I'll have to take Sonoko and then Masumi so you 2 are my only choice right now.
Ai: So we're your last options?
Mio: (laughs awkwardly) Ahaha.......yes
Conan: But I won't be available today. Plus I'm not that fond of sweet stuff.
Mio: Oh that's too bad. That shop serves the best lemon pie.
Hearing the words 'lemon pie', Conan's ears perked up and a small grin crawled up onto Ai's face. Who doesn't know that the young Sherlokian had a sweet spot for lemon pie?
Conan:(fake coughs) Well, I might be free during the evening. I'm only going because you're asking. Not because I wanna or anything. (stating the obvious, isn't he?)
Mio: Well then we'll meet up after you are done with your work. (clapping her hands)
Ai:(whispering to herself) You sure know how to get what you want.
Mio: Shiho, let us go on a shopping spree!
Ai: Huh? Don't you have enough clothes already?
Mio: Ya, but a little shopping never hurts when you're rich.
Conan: Little shopping and shopping spree aren't the same. (while sweatdropping)
At the shopping mall
Ai: You know how to get your work done huh?
Mio: Hmm what do you mean?
Ai: That cafe is in Edoka. It is such a coincidence that you know who also lives in Edoka.
Mio: Ahaha it is such a coincidence. I didn't notice at all.
Ai: Hmm it is a coincidence. After all no matter how much of a hacker you are, you would not have known that Kudou-kun is acquainted with someone there and that someone was a friend of you-know-who. And of course, you wouldn't have known that Edoka High students have school today even though it's Saturday. And most of all you wouldn't have known at all that Kudou-kun would've been busy until the evening. Hmmm, it is a coincidence no matter what I think right?
Mio: Ohoho what a coincidence

Ai: Quit acting who doesn't know what you're planning?
Mio: Kudou-kun doesn't know right? So, it's a big coincidence to him.
Ai: Well then since I am helping you out, you owe me.
Mio: Crap ( Owing to Shiho ain't a good thing. The last I owed her something my want account dropped from a 7-digit number to 4 digit number)
Ai: What? Remember something bad? ( while grinning)
Mio: I'll get you Fusae brand's limited products so please don't empty my bank. It's still the start of the month and even I have a limited allowance no matter how much of an heiress I am. ( Clapping her hands together in a pleading way)
Ai: Well, since I am in a good mood, I'll let you off.
Mio: Good mood?
Ai: Well, we're going on a shopping spree and you're paying so why won't I be in a good mood?
Mio: I pray you won't empty my bank account.
Ai: I'm not a demon spawn.
Mio: Ya you're not. After all why else would Conan save your name as 'Evil-eyed yawny girl/ demon' in his contact bio detail?
Ai: Huh? He saved it as what? And how do you know that?
Mio: I saw it during the heist. You got yourself a nice name eh?
Ai: Oh shut up. But how are you so sure 'he' will come there after school? I mean to head to that cafe you need to reserve seats beforehand right?
Mio: You see I mailed four coupons to his childhood friend. Those coupons are only valid for high school students. Knowing her, she'll surely drag him along. Plus with his sweet tooth, he is sure to accept. Of course, I mailed those coupons using the cafe's mail.
Ai: I wish I was surprised but I'm not since it is you we're speaking about.
Mio: Oi oi you make me sound like a stalker.
Ai: How are you so sure they wouldn't have gone on other days?
Mio: To use those coupons, you need to be in the cafe before 5. In Edoka High, classes end at 4:30 and students leave at 5 on all days except for half days or special occasions. Today is Saturday the students leave at 3:30. Meaning they will be at the cafe by 4. Also since the coupon isn't valid on Sunday, they will surely use it today.
Ai: You're scary.
Mio: I really don't wanna hear that from a mad scientist of all people.
After the so-called 'little shopping spree' in which the two twin-like sisters bought nearly half of what the store owned, Mio dragged Ai to a 5-star restaurant owned by the Dolorosas. After lunch, they shopped again till they dropped.
Later after dropping all their bags at home (I still have no idea how they carried them) the two sisters met up with Conan who just arrived at the station.
Conan: You were shopping until a few minutes ago and here you are again looking at the latest Fusae brand products. ( To Ai)
Ai: Oh this is something Mio owes me.
Conan: Why?
Mio: Don't ask. Anyways here we are 'Cafe Choco Wonder'. Ahh, I'm back after all these years.
Conan: You're back?
Ai: Akemi-nee, Mio, and I always meet up here whenever Mio is back in Japan.
Conan: So, you've been to this cafe more than once huh?
Mio: Yup, we come here at least once a year. Have you ever been here Kudo-kun?
Conan: Once, my mom dragged me here when I was still Kudo Shinichi.
Mio: Your mom cares for you huh?
Ai: She's a nice person. Be grateful Kudo-kun.
Conan: She's too energetic.
Mio: That too. Anyway, let's head in.
The trio headed into the cafe, found a spot from where Mio could see who was coming in, and ordered. Just then a group of four students entered. Four Edoka high students to be precise. Two girls and two boys.
