16. "Awww darling it's ok"

I feel like I might pass out. Stephen takes this time to start walking towards me. Ellie sees that I haven't moved an inch and she takes it up on herself to push me towards him. I'm angry but I'm so happy, Stephen is a few inches away from me.

He pulls me into a hug and I immediately start crying. "Aww darling, it's ok" I hear Stephen say to me and I start sobbing even harder. I pull away from him and he looks me at patiently waiting for me to say something. Anything really. I look back and see Ellie recording us. Adeline say anything please. I'm starting to frustrate myself because I'm not saying anything.

"Hi Stephen I'm such a huge fan of your work. I absolutely love 'Angel Face'" "Thanks Sweetheart, your Adeline right?" I nodded and he continues. "I was blown away by your cover. Your voice is incredible. Have you ever sung on stage?" I started laughing and Stephen looks at me confused. "Oh no, I only do covers on my YouTube."

Stephen processes what I say and it's almost like a lightbulb went off in his head. "Ok darling, I have a question for you. Would you like to sing 'No one knows' on stage with me?"
Holy shit. No way he just asked me that. "Uh yeah I would love to, thank you" I say as I hug him again. I can't believe I'm about to sing on stage with my crush tonight. Ellie is still recording from afar. She's not gonna believe this

"Ok darling, let me confirm wuth my team. Stay right there." I listen to Stephen and stand there and wait. Ellie stops recording and walks up to me. "Ok ads let's go" she pulls my arm but I stay put. "No Ellie" "No? He left though so let's go." "He's coming back Ellie just wait." She looks at me confused but says ok and backs up a bit.

Stephen returns and looks at me so excited, and potentially a little bit of love? no I'm being delusional. "Ok Adeline, my team is still ok with you coming on stage with me. So what your gonna do is when I start the intro for Pretty Woman. Your gonna make your way back stage." I'm actually speechless, I can't say any words but I just nod. "Ok, well our time is up but I will see you again later." Stephen says as he pulls me into a hug. I hug him back and I just feel so safe in his arms.

I haven't felt this safe in someones arms in a long time. I continue to hug him and he never let's go. Not even for a second, he waits for me to let go first. God he's so cute, I love him so much but seeing him in person. I just can't. I pull out off the hug even though I didn't want to and he looks at me and kisses me on the cheek. "I'll see you later darling" "Yes you will" I walk away and look at Ellie. She can see it in my eyes. I'm head over heels but she doesn't say a word.

Time Skip to Only girl

Stephen is about to sing only girl and this means that it's almost time for me to go backstage and wait for 'No one know'

"Hey LA how y'all doing?" everyone screaming and I'm crying my eyes out. I'm so excited but I'm scared because I've never sung in front of anyone.

"If love is an understatement

He looks at me as he sings and my knees feel weak. I'm holding onto Ellie to make sure I don't fall to the ground. Stephen gets closer to me and looks directly in my eyes.

He gets up and continues to sing, Me and Ellie look at each other and scream our lungs out. Neither of us were expecting that. I stare at him as he sings only girl and it feels so different than the live videos I've seen on YouTube. It's truly a different experience when you see him live. He finishes 'Only Girl' and I know it's almost my time to leave and head backstage.
