Elena's POV It's been 3 months, since our parents died .. I'm worried about Jeremy. We lost our family and now it feels empty... We've bounced back and forth with all sorts of uncles and aunts as they try and figure out who's going to legally take care of Jeremy and I. I leave the bathroom and look in the mirror, i force a smile and say "today will be better." As there's a clanging downstairs, i quickly run to the top of the stairs as Jeremy comes out his room, he says "what's going on?" I shrug as i go downstairs, Jeremy follows close behind as I quietly follow the noise and slowly enter the kitchen.. i say "hello?" She pops up from behind the counter, i fully relax, taking a deep breath i say "Brooke?" She smiles and says "hi! Do you guys want pancakes?" I run over and hug her, i can't believe she was back from college. I say "what are you doing here?" She says "i needed to be here." She looks at Jeremy and says "come on mopey man, pleased to see me?" He slowly nods and comes over to give her a hug. She says "we're Gilbert's. We stick together." I smile, she says "right, pancakes?" I nod as Jeremy takes a couple from the stack sitting on the counter. As we eat Brooke pours a coffee, she smiles and says "so if it's okay with you guys.. I'm thinking I'll stay here for a little while?" I say "yes! Are you serious? What about college?" She smirks and says "i can do most of it online now I'm a third year." Jeremy smiles slightly, as he says "that'd be cool." I nudge him. Brooke smiles and says "so how are you guys? Can we all have dinner tonight catch up?" Jeremy and I nod, as she says "great, but for now get to school."
