Brookes POV
I make the final touches to the Halloween decorations i have put up around the house. With all this vampire talk some people wouldn't want to celebrate Halloween but it has always been my favorite holiday. Dean comes in from outside as he hands me a coffee, he says "the Salvatore's have been laying low since the founders party.." i question "you think they're up to something?" Dean shakes his head and says "not necessarily... but it's something to keep in mind." I nod and say "have you got a Halloween costume for tonight?" He says "I'm a hunter.. the job is a costume." I shake my head and say "no. not good enough.. I've got an idea.." As i pull out a box from under the stairs, as i pull it on to the table opening it up i pull out a cowboy costume and hand it to Dean." I smile.. as he shakes his head slowly, i nod and he takes the costume, he says "you really want to go to the Halloween party .. with everything that happened last time?" I nod and say "I'm not going to let them ruin my favorite holiday."

Damon's POV
I pour a drink as Stefan comes downstairs i say "Morning.." he says slightly confused "why are you so happy?" I say "can't i be happy Stefan. It's Halloween best day for vampires everywhere .. and I've been invited to a party." I hold out an invitation, as Stefan snatches it from my hand he says "Brooke? She invited you?" He says "no.. Caroline did. I figured it's a great way to get to know Brooke.." Stefan scoffs as he says "small thing.. she hates you and doesn't want you around Caroline, how do you think she's going to let you into a party." I put my glass down and say "i don't know.. people do strange things on Halloween, Stefan.." There's a silence as i say "maybe I'll tell her about your little sleepover, Morning Elena." Stefan turns around as Elena comes downstairs standing by his side, i say "I'm sure your sister would love to know about this." Elena says "you can't tell her Damon." I shrug and say "I don't know .. it'd definitely win me some points with Brooke." As i go to pass them and head upstairs, Elena steps forward blocking my path she says "why do you care about being on Brooke's good side?" I say "well there's the whole trying to kill me thing .. figured if i show her my best self she and her hunter boyfriend will have less intention of killing me." Elena rolls her eyes. I say "thought you'd be happy I'm getting to know your sister.. after all it was your boyfriends idea." I tip my head towards Stefan and continue psssed them upstairs.

Brooke's POV
Jeremy comes into the kitchen as I decorate the house. I smile and say "hey.. you going to the Halloween party at school tonight?"  He nods and says "Vicky and i are going together .. but she was meant to call me an hour ago" I say "I'm sure she's just running late.." He nods as Dean comes into the kitchen he says "Jeremy! want to help me fix my car?" Jeremy says "i don't really know much about cars." Dean says "I'll show you... every man needs to learn there way around a car.." Dean waits for agreement from Jeremy not taking no for an answer as Jeremy puts down his iPod and goes outside Dean pats him on the back. As Dean goes to follow him out i say "Dean." He looks back and i say "thank you." He smiles and nods continuing to go outside with Jeremy.

I know what Deans job is, i am totally aware that he will need to leave again soon. But while he's here I'm glad Jeremy can have some sense of normalcy.. i just wish Elena would listen.

Damon's POV
I go upstairs handing the hot brunnette girl in my bed a glass of blood. I say "drink. You'll feel better." She mumbles "what the hell did you give me?" I say "my blood. You loved it." She shakes her head taking the glass and sniffs it, she gags putting the glass down. she says "seriously what did you give me?" I say again "my blood, you drank it, i killed you.. now your in transition." She mutters "you're crazy." As she fumbles around getting her stuff to leave i say "you don't wanna do that.. you don't wanna be alone right now." She says "shut up" and leaves. As i follow her downstairs Stefan stops her in the hall, as he looks up at me he says "what did you do?" I shrug as Vicky says "get your hands off me!" Stefan steps back and i say "careful brother she's feisty." As she leaves Stefan says "you turned her?" I shrug. Stefan says "do you have any idea how bad this is? Brooke and Dean are going to kill you." Damon says "let them try." Stefan rolls his eyes and says "what happened to trust?" Damon says "I got ... distracted.. she had .. spunk."
