Valia waited in the shop and hid in silence until after Hiccup removed the connecting rod. She only revealed herself when she quickly and swiftly caught the bucket the night fury threw before it could cause a ruckus, causing the night fury to protectively growl at her and Hiccup quickly snapped out of his shock and went between his dragon and his twin sister to calm the night fury down. Valia calmly and silently waited for Hiccup to say something to her, but then they heard Astrid's voice outside.

Astrid: Hiccup? Valia? Are you there?

Valia: ( whispers to Hiccup, sternly with a serious look on her face: ) Go, I'll handle this. And once you get the night fury wherever you have been hiding him this whole time, you march back to the house and be ready to tell me everything. Got it?

Hiccup quickly nodded his head in response, as he knew that if he would even try to protest, he would get an even more of an earful than he's already going to get. Toothless looked at the girl, who was to him, seemingly the boss of Hiccup.

Valia then walked out of the shop to face Astrid, who looked at her in shock while the Haddock sister gave her a somewhat cold expression with a protective glare and her arms crossed as she stood in front of the Hofferson girl so she couldn't see inside the shop.

Valia: ( to Astrid: ) Hello, Astrid.

Astrid: ( to Valia: ) Okay, listen, I normally don't care what people do, but you and Hiccup have been acting weird. Well, weirder.

Valia stayed silent until she saw Hiccup fly away with the night fury before she spoke to Astrid.

Valia: ( a bit coldly: ) Oh, really? Please explain exactly how my brother and I have been acting " weirder " to you.

Astrid: Hiccup has suddenly become good at training, and the both of you have been taking off after training-

Valia: And that upsets you? Wasn't it you that rudely told my brother to taking training more seriously? Also, what we do after training is none of your concern.

Astrid: No one gets that good so fast. Not even you-

Valia: ( sternly, to Astrid: ) As I said before. It doesn't concern you. Now, how about you go back home and go back to pretending that my brother and I aren't worth your time. Because, honestly, I prefer you doing that than you giving him the stink eye for showing his true protential. Now, if you excuse me, I must be heading off to bed for training tomorrow, as should you.

Astrid looked at the Haddock sister with an angry glare because of how Valia keeps interrupting her. Valia then walked away from Astrid with a proud smile for distracting the Hofferson girl by angering her.

When Valia got home, she came inside the house and closes the door behind her, and found Hiccup waiting for her by the dining table.

Hiccup: I can explain!-

Valia: Good. Now, start with the beginning and don't leave out a single detail, mister.

( About an hour and a half of Hiccup explaining everything to Valia later )

The two Haddock siblings were now sitting at the dinner table, Valia was sitting across from Hiccup with her arms crossed and a stern look on her face the whole Hiccup explained everything to her.
