Warm Days (Enemies to Friends..?)

Chapter 5

3 feet kept kicking him. One from behind, one on his waist, one on his thighs. They laughed and laughed and seeing him unconscious, they scoffed and walked away leaving him from behind the boxes.

The next day

Yuri was shocked to see bruises on his waist. No wonder it really hurted a lot yesterday. Did this happen when he was drunk? He thought so and shook his head. He looked at the table on when Mia told him to change. He sighed and began on changing.

He had a long white sleeve with a black shirt layered. He hand black slacks on and folded from the bottom part. He felt more comfortable with this type of clothing. He lets out a groan and sat back down on his bed.

Knocks were heard from the door and he lifted his head up "Do you want me to escort you to where the dining area is or do you want to eat there?" Mia's voice was heard from behind the door.

Yuri thinked for a brief moment. If he'd leave this room, a lot of people would be staring at him in confusion on why he's here. Most of all, Aiko and William which they really hated him. He swallowed loudly and coughed "I'll just eat here." He raised his voice for her to hear him.

"Understood." Mia was a nice and sympathetic person, she keeps checking up on him 2 hours after. He was starting to trust her a tad bit. She opened the door and there revealed a tray of food prepared just for him.

"Please eat well." She gave him a reassuring smile and then placed the food down on the desk on the side. She bowed down to him with such formality then left.

He was astounded at the food. He expected like bread but it was more than that. There was salad, soup, and fruits. Probably just for him to heal up. He still has a fever but it wasn't that severe than before. He went over and began on eating.

Mia walked down the hall as her heels clanked loudly with the wooden floor. Abruptly, Ender popped out of nowhere and she quickly walked up to her. "Did he eat?" She held onto her shoulders, determined to know.

Mia was shocked and blinked twice before nodding. "Good." Ender said with a sigh of relief.

"You're worried about him?" Mia said with a chuckle and she proceed to walk down as Ender followed her.

Ender rolled her eyes "I'm just checking up on him." She crossed her arms.

The latin girl laughed and spoke "Ay dios mio, Ender.." She really have to admit soon that she does cares about him since it's obvious.

"What?" The lavender haired girl raised an eyebrow with a small smile.

"Ender?" Yuii's voice was heard from in front and the two girls stopped and they immediately looked forward to see Yuii standing with her arms crossed underneath her chest. Her eyes were focused right at Ender.

"Yuii!" Ender spoke in suprise and as Mia glanced at the two awkwardly. Yuii's expression softened and then smiled gesturing her to follow, turning around to walk down the long hallway

Ender was confused but she shrugged before waving a goodbye at Mia. In return, Mia did the same with such a nice smile.

She caught up with the tall woman and had the biggest smile "Tell me.." Yuii began with a calm voice. Ender looked up at her in curiosity

"Do you want to invite Yuri in the evening for dinner?" She asked nonchalantly and his smile grew. Ender's expression dropped and she paused for a second. "Wha—"

Aiko and William was just on the poop deck, seeing a few islands from afar. They were watchijg the horizon together like normal 'friends'.

"You know.." She suddenly spoke with a gentle tone. William's head perked up and turned to her side. "You have seen them right?" She added.

He froze and raised an eyebrow before adjusting his posture. "Ender and that guy?"

Aiko nodded her head and looked at him as well. "It's odd for them to avoid each other. I mean like I guess I could say it's normal for them to at least throw bad nicknames at each other but to me it feels so weird.." She mumbled, thinking about them.

William had a look of frustration combined with uneasiness for a split second before shifting into shock. "You're telling me you're on Yuii's side now?"

She hesitated and shrugged with a downward smile "Ehh..."

"But he—" He stopped himself when she saw her hand raised up.

"William, how about we just.. Try and enjoy this journey of ours and try to avoid any more problems like this okay?" She says placing a hand on top of his with a reassuring look.

His expression slowly softens, his lips curving into a smile and sighed. "Hm.. You really know how to calm me." He wrapped an arm around her shoulder, pulling her close. She expected this to happen and so she chuckled a tadbit then nuzzled close onto his body.
