Part- 0.1: Prologue

'Hiiiii, baee' a warm hand stretches for a hug to XX from her lover, A. Upon seeing XX, A hugged her. A bit tight. It was a bit different than normal ones.

A's embrace tightened around XX's neck, tears streaming down her cheeks. XX's heart sank at the sight of A's usually radiant face contorted with sorrow. XX was shocked. She was crying. (A). The girl that was always cold and happy at times. It was her!

'A, what's wrong? Why are you crying?' she asked, her own voice tinged with concern.

With a voice choked with emotion, A replied, 'My grandma...'

XX's heart clenched with understanding. Without hesitation, she guided A outside, offering her a comforting embrace.

'It's okay, dear. It's fine' XX whispered, gently wiping away A's tears.

She let A hug her. As long as she felt better. As long the sadness crept away from her. XX let. 'Heyy, don't cryy!! Stop crying, did anyone say anything?' words hitting A's ear as XX looked at her with concern and love for her. A sniffed. Her eyes were red. 'Nothing.' A was able to speak that 1 word. She was too broken and devastated even to speak. It felt hard to breathe.

'Hey, stop, don't cry... Why are you crying?' XX speaks as she cups Sam's face, she placed a soft but oh, a sweet kiss on A's pinkish lips and faded chubby cheeks. This was absolute heaven. XX pulls back A, for the hug, that revealed a tiny. little. smile on the corner of A's Lips.

XX knew she did it. A kiss. Moments of hug. Shoulder to cry. Support. Its all. It's everything a person needs from their lover during the hard times. And XX did it. She lets A be. She'd love to hold A forever in her arms. I mean, it was her ultimate dream.

In that moment, amidst whispered reassurances and tender gestures, XX realized the depth of her love for A. It was a dream she had long cherished-to be there for A in every moment of need, to share in her joys and sorrows. And now, as she held A close, that dream became a beautiful reality.

"It was A, XX's bestfriend, her better half, her lover. XX waited a long to see this day."

With a tender kiss on A's cheek, XX silently promised to always be there for her. As XX's tear-streaked face broke into a small smile, A knew that their bond was unbreakable.

In that embrace, XX found solace in the knowledge that she had finally found her true purpose-to love and support A, her best friend, her partner, her everything.

'you feeling better? Let's go back to class.' XX smiled at her.

The class ended. A was all happy and smiling again. A sight of relieve shimmered through XX.

XX's POV

'Wow, how did I become so lucky? Even my previous best friend isn't half of what A is. You guys, must be confused, right?' chuckles 'let me explain.'

'I had a best friend. I had feelings for her. I wished she was my girlfriend. But she never did. After we chose our own paths, I realized how toxic our friendship was. Then I met A at Melterspot. It wasn't love at first sight, it formed gradually. I wished for ages. I wished she was my girlfriend, my bestfriend. I could never say her this. I mean what would she think right?'

'But Oh, fate, it knew exactly what it was doing. We became so close just in 1 year. So close. inseparable. It was Valentines Week. She got me a rose for the Rose Day. I was so happy, I cried. I never thought this day would come. Next was Propose Day, y'all know it right, haha. That night, I proposed her through LINE. I asked, if she would be my valentine this year. for a long time. until death apart us. "If she would like to be my girlfriend?"

No as joke anymore. Offically. I wanted her to be my mine. I had been chasing love for ages. And when I looked at her, my heart whispered; that's the one.

She could've said yes, but....
