Baby Homecoming

Tony's point of view

I was just woken up by my ring tone late at night. I was angry and not truly awake yet but I answered it anyway.

I asked who it was and why they were calling and the answer made my annoyance turn to shock.

It was Natasha telling me that Daisy was in labor and that the baby was coming and they were in Bruce's lab right now and Daisy was having it.

I flew out of my bed and rushed around putting on clothes before i raced to the elevator while calling out to Jarvis.

"Open the elevator and take me to Daisy"

Which of course my loyal AI did as I asked and took me to the lab. When I arrived I rushed into the lab and to Daisy's side while she was doing the final push but of
course I averted my eyes.

The nurse's that work for me took the baby to get cleaned and make sure it was healthy and in the meantime Daisy slept through the time that had passed, obviously exhausted from giving birth.

When the nurse's came back with the new born it was so cute, it had obviously been washed and clothed because it was wrapped in a fluffy white blanket and her face was clear and her cheeks where rosy but of course her eyes were closed so we couldn't see the color of them which annoyed me a little seeing as i wanted to know if she had Daisy's brown eyes or Natasha's green eyes so i would wait and look forward to the revealing of sorts. The nurse walked over to Daisy and handed her the child with a smile while saying.

"Here my dear, meet your child"

Daisy gladly took and placed her on her chest while stroking her hair and kissing her forehead, Everyone in the room (the avengers) all gathered around Daisy and Natasha and gushed over the newest Avenger in the room with looks of love and longing.

Clint stood by Natasha as her rock and congratulated her. Thor told us how babies are considered holy on Asgard, Bruce stood away from everyone in the coroner but still looked at the baby looking like he wanted to get closer, and Steve (who had just entered the room after excusing himself for the birth) sent a warm smile towards the couple and their new child. Natasha, who was not holding the baby girl gasped and lifted her head to smile at all of us before turning her gaze to Daisy.

"Her eyes are different colors, one brown the other green"

She announced excitedly, practically bouncing in her seat with the emotions she felt at this moment at the joy of being a parent and the love she felt seeing the eyes of her child which looked like both of the loving soulmates.

When she was discharged from the med bay I helped Skye and Natasha get Skye into their room and helped put Skye into bed, and Natasha carried the baby over to a crib which Steve and Maria had put together for the soulmate couple.

As Skye was starting to get tired and the baby was drifting off to sleep I looked towards Natasha while jerking my head towards the door to indicate to her to follow me outside the room.

I walked out of the room with Natasha on my heels and closed the door after us so we could talk without any possibility of waking up the baby and Skye from their sleep before turning to face Natasha.

"Congratulations Natasha, your baby is gorgeous"

I said to her while putting my hand on her shoulder, She smiled at me tiredly while she stood up straighter before responding with a Aura of happiness.

"Thank you Tony or shall i call you Uncle Tony now?"

She asked me in a playful manner while her eyes twinkled with mischief and a small grin on her face.

"Tony is fine, and wait a few years and you never know"

I said to her in a cocky manner making her realize I was being playful.

"Ok Grandpa i am going to bed"

She said, making me glare at her.

"Ok goodnight"

I said before walking away while she disappeared through her door and went into her bedroom to join Skye and her child.
