Xie Lian POV:
It's been a week since me and San Lang met. He's already made me so happy. And me and Mu Qing have been catching up, we're not as close as we used to be... but we're making progress! Feng Xin and me still haven't talked, but I sincerely hope we could become friends again.
Mom has been busy recently, which isn't really new and I understand why, after all we did just move here and she's getting settled at her new job. It's good to see her happy, after everything she's been through. I'm hoping this weekend I can introduce her and San Lang.
It's Monday morning. I get up and get ready for school, I say bye to my Mom and head out to the bus. Before I walk out the door I go up to my mom and ask her the question. "Hey mom! I was wondering if my uh- friend could come over after school?" "Ohhh, a friend. My sons finally made a friend?! That's amazing sweetie of course." A smile quickly appears on my face. "Thank you Mom I promise we'll be good!" "Soo, do you like this boy" I pause in my tracks. "W-what?" My face turns BRIGHT red. "N-nooo of course not! He's just a friend, plus we've only known each other for a week" "Oh please, Xie Lian I'm not a fool. You don't have a girlfriend and you've never looked in the direction of a girl in that way ever. And also you were blushing and smiling like crazy when you mentioned this mystery boy"

If I'm being truthful, I never thought of girls in that way. I mean don't get me wrong they're pretty and most of them are very sweet, after all we all wouldn't exist if it weren't for women but they never exactly interested me in that way. And despite knowing San Lang for only a week, it's felt like I've known him for years, maybe even longer than Mu Qing and Feng Xin. "Oh shi- honey you better get going or you'll be late, but I can't wait to meet Mr. Lover man" she smiles.
"Thanks mom" I smile back.
