Sharppaw fidgeted in his sleep, he jerked awake suddenly but he wasn't in his twoleg's shed he was on Thunderclan territory. He looked around wildly.
"How did i get here?" he asked himself, as he recognised the training hollow. He brushed his tail along the four jutting stone, smiling with remeberance. But he froze as he picked up a scent shot forward out of the undergrowth and his eyes widened. He saw Creekstep and Rowantail and then his eyes laid on the cat Rowantail had in his jaws.
"That's me!" Sharppaw gasped in shock as he saw Rowantail pull up onto his hindlegs and smash the small apprentice's head on a rock. Sharppaw's eyes widened and he shot out of the undergrowth, he launched at Rowantail his metallic paw's outstretch but he fell through the warrior and landed on the bank behind him. Sharppaw's eyes widened.
"They can't see me.. what are they doing?!" Sharppaw meowed in horror as Rowantail picked up his limp body and threw it into the river.
"No.... you snake-heart!" Sharppaw growled, he then raised his head as he saw and she-cat begin to chase his body.
"Frostpool.." Sharppaw spoke, launching himself after her. He soon caught up to her as she collapsed to the floor crying.
"I'm sorry " she cried into her paws as his body floated around a bend. Sharppaw's eyes widened.
"She tried to save me" Sharppaw spoke shocked, as he wanted to comfort the cat but his tail went straight through her and the cat made no reaction that she had felt anything. Sharppaw then got up quickly and shot forward easily locating his own tortoise shell fur floating down the stream. It seemed like he had been following his own lifeless body for a moon, before it came lodged between the reeds. Sharppaw scent the air and his face became confused.
"I'm near the twoleg place... i drifted so far..." Sharppaw spoke, he then lifted his head as he saw a small apprentice sized cat emerge from the undergrowth on the other side of the river.
"Croft!" Sharppaw meowed, watching the tom yell in shock dropping a mouse that had been dangling in his jaws.
"Oh no.. are you alright.. oh please get up.." Croft spoke putting a paw on sharppaw's lifeless body but it became dislodged and sharppaw's body began to drift again. Croft bunched his shoulder and shot into the water.
"Croft!" Sharppaw meowed in horror as the apprentice went under the water, the current dragging his small body. Sharppaw sighed with relief as the tom burst from the dark blue blanket and managed to grab hold of the bodies shoulder and clamp his jaw's onto it.
"Come on croft..." Sharppaw meowed to himself urging the tom on who tumbled in the water but luckily came to a stop as he got a claw hold on the bank and dragged himself onto it and with all his strength dragged Sharppaw's body also.
"Come on.. get up... get up" Croft spoke, bending down and listening to the tortoise shell tom's chest.
"Your alive!" Croft meowed suddenly standing up his fur bristling happily, he then bent down and grabbed him by the scruff and pulled, the water had made Sharppaw's body seem a lot lighter than it actually was and Croft's mouth began to bleed as he tried and tried to move, the large tom's body but it was no use. Croft's eyes filled with tears as he began to lick Sharppaw's body fur backwards slowly drying him and wrapping his body around him as best as he could to keep him warm. Sharppaw's eyes widened as it suddenly dropped dark.
"Go home Croft..." Sharppaw begged the male as he looked on at this horrible heart wrenching scene but the little tom didn't budge, he kept getting up every so often and listening to his chest and licking his fur dry and then drifting back to sleep again as a continuous cycle.
