CHAPTER 10

*Zera's POV*

Months passed and it was the day of the entrance exam for the recommended students. I was one of them. My dad didn't recommend me but Principal Nezu did.

I was walking towards the gate and saw Shoto not too far away. Seeing that Shoto was not too far, I ran towards him.

"Shoto!" I called. After running beside him, I noticed that Shoto was frowning the whole time and didn't even reply to my call.

"Shoto?" I called again.

"Leave me alone Zera," He sighed and walked ahead of me. Shoto has been like this for the past few days and it's making me worry.

"Uhm..." I heard a feminine voice behind me.

"Hm?" I turned around and saw a beautiful ravenette.

"Are you going to UA too?" She asked me smiling. I nodded my head and I could see sparkles forming around her after I nodded.

"I'm Yaoyorozu Momo, call me Yaomomo!" she smiled and shook my hand.

"I'm Yagi Zera, nice to meet you Yaoyorozu-san..." I smiled awkwardly at her.

"I hope we'll pass together Yagi-san!"

After our short conversation, we headed towards UA.

Arriving at UA, we headed towards the auditorium hall and waited for the orientation to start.

I was seated beside Yaoyorozu and a big guy.

"Hello!" the big guy said. Looking beside me, I saw the big guy smile at me.

"H-hello..." I replied, feeling nervous and shy.

"I'm Yoarashi Inasa, nice to meet you! You?"

"I'm Yagi Zera... nice to meet you too..."

"Let's pass together Yagi-san!" He said.

'That's the second time I heard someone say that to me' I thought, thinking about a certain ravenette who told me that just a few minutes ago.

"Yeah, let's pass together Yoarashi-san," I smiled at him.

After a few minutes, the orientation started and after that we did our written exams. The written exams were easy and I was somewhat confident that I would get a perfect score.

After the written exams, we were then told to go outside for the physical exams where we'll show them our quirks. I already know that I don't need these tests to pass but Principal Nezu told me to do it so that there won't be suspicions about me being in UA.

I already changed into my sportswear which consists of a plain black shirt, red jogging pants, and black rubber shoes. I then tied my hair into a high ponytail to make sure that I wouldn't get distracted. Yes, I am still serious about this test even though I already know that they'll take me.

The first test was a race. It was easy for me for I can run fast using my cursed energy. The only use I can do with my cursed energy is to enhance my physical skills like strength and speed.

After winning first in the race, I noticed Shoto and Yoarashi were next after my race.

Noticing that Yoarashi trying to talk to Shoto, who was still in a foul mood. I tried to call Yoarashi but was too late when I saw Shoto open his mouth and reply to Yoarashi, which I knew were words that might've hurt or made someone think badly of him. Shoto then left after that. I made my way towards Yoarashi to make sure he wouldn't get a bad idea about Shoto.

"Yoarashi-san, please excuse Shoto. He's been in a bad mood lately." I smiled at him.

"You're friends with that person?"

"Uhh yeah, we've been friends for years,"

"I don't get how you could be friends with him. Did he force you to be his friend?!" He said. I chuckled at his assumption and looked at him.

"Quite the opposite really. I'm the one who somewhat forced him to be my friend," I smiled. "I really wanted to be his friend years ago and we somehow did become friends. So if you were offended by anything that he said, please forgive him," After I said that, Yoarashi looked at me and smiled.

"You're really kind Yagi-san!" He said. "We should exchange contacts after the exams!"

"Sure, let's do that" I smiled at him.

After our exams, Yoarashi and I exchanged contacts. The same with me and Yaoyorozu. Walking towards the gate of UA, I saw Shoto standing beside the gate. Stopping in front of him, I am now facing him while he is facing the floor.

"You alright now Shoto?" I asked. Seeing him still looking on the ground, my patience was slowly thinning since I was tired from the exams.

"Look Shoto, I don't have all day and I'm tired from the exams. If you're not talking then I'll leave first." Walking out of the gate, I was then grabbed and restrained me from walking farther.

"I'm sorry..." He whispered. "I was being a jerk today I know that but, there's really a lot of things going on in my mind right now."

"I don't really care if you're being a jerk and whatnot but you could've told me what was on your mind," I told him. He gave me a small smile and let go of my arm. Noticing that the mood became lighter, we then started walking together towards the train station.

Arriving at the train station, we then bid our goodbyes and went our separate ways.

Walking alone, I was starting to remember some of my memories in my world. The UA entrance exam reminded me of the day I took the entrance exam for a state university for the High School Department. There wasn't any physical exam but a written one and a long one. I didn't pass that exam though and I remembered the disappointment on my parents' faces when we got the news. Now that I'm taking another entrance exam for high school made me a bit emotional since I didn't take the regular entrance exam but a recommended one.

"Zera-san!"

Turning to where I heard the voice, I saw Midoriya waving at me. Seeing him while I was feeling emotional, I ran up to him and engulfed him in a hug.

"Uhm! Ano..! Are you okay Zera-san?!?" Midoriya said while patting my back. I just stayed silent and continued to hug. Seeing that I wouldn't be talking for some time and just needed a hug, Midoriya then hugged me back. I'm always like this when feeling emotional and my friends; Mae, Oscar, and Juliet are always there for me if ever this happens. I guess this is the first time that I'm feeling emotional in this world.

Slowly feeling better, I let go of Midoriya and gave him a weak smile.

"I'm fine, just tired and all. I just needed a hug," I said giving him a smile.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah!" I replied. "You're training just finished right? You should go home and rest." Midoriya looked at me worriedly but nodded.

"Message me when you get home Zera-san!" He smiled at me and ran.

Seeing that he was already far, my lips quivered and tears were threatening to fall. I miss my world. I miss my friends there and surprisingly, I also miss my parents. I want to see everyone again. Even the face of that ex-boyfriend of mine that I awfully hate. I want to go back but I'm already dead. I know I'm dead because who could even survive an explosion? Especially when you're the nearest one beside the bomb?

Hi everyone! I'm currently writing this author's note to notify you guys that I won't be updating this week and next week because I am currently busy with exams, projects, and clearance signing.

I will try updating though if I have time so please don't worry.
