Chapter 6

Mabilis ang takbo ng pagsusulit dahil ilang minuto lang pagkatapos kong makaupo ay simula na ng Labanan sa Espada.

We don't know who will be our opponent since the officers are the ones arranging the match. We just listened to whose name they would call, but I think that the one who tops the paper exam will be my match. So it's either Agnar, Carius, or Henry since they are the ones who are next to me in the standing. 

I clapped and cheered when both Cesar and Elton won their respective matches. I want them to pass too, since they will definitely be my trusted comrades when I am in the military. 

In the sword fight, even if you lose the fight, you will not score 0 since they also gave scores to the way you are using the sword or the techniques that you use. Also, the Labanan sa Espada and Pisikalang Labanan will be timed through an hourglass. If it runs out of sand, the fight will be over, so I think the fight's duration is only 10 minutes. 
 
Mabilis kong nahulaang si Agnar ang makakalaban ko nang tawagin sina Carius at Henry.

This is a good fight since both of them are known as sons of the generals. Henry is the son of General Rafael of Morjin, while Carius is the son of General Zandro and the nephew of General Andres Kawangis. 
 
Tutok na tutok ako sa panonood. Kahit ubod ng yabang si Carius hindi naman maitatanggi na magaling talaga siya. Mukhang makakabawi siya sa pagkapahiya niya kanina.

He's good with swords. Henry is good too, but his skills are mediocre compared to Carius, whom I can tell is well trained. 

Hindi nga ako nagkamali at si Carius nga nanalo. Ngiting-ngiti pa siyang kumaway.

"Ang susunod na labanan ay magmumula kina Zev at Agnar!"

Agad akong tumayo. Nakangising sinalubong pa ako ni Carius na paupo na.

"Hoy, payatot! Sana manalo ka! Para may pag-asa na tayo ang maglaban mamaya. Nang masubukan ko naman kung may ibubuga ka talaga," nakangising sabi niya.

Hindi ko siya sinagot at dumiretso na ako sa gitna. Binigyan nila ako ng espada.

Agnar is the son of the top general of Ancard, General Dargon, the trusted general of the Crown Prince, who is in charge of protecting Ancarte, the capital of Ancard, where the Palace is located. He is also the nephew of the Crown Princess.

He is from an influential family, so I will not be surprised if he feels pressured to excel at everything and can't accept defeat.  
 
Matangkad si Agnar kasing tangkad niya si Carius na kung hindi ako nagkakamali ay lampas 6 footer na ang height. Manliliit talaga ang height kong 5'7 at siguradong tatangkad pa sila dahil 17 pa lang sila. Tatangkad pa naman ako pero siguradong mas matangkad pa rin sila sa akin. Ang height ko ay hanggang 5'10 lang dahil iyon ang height ko noong 23 years old ako. 

Matiim kong tinitigan si Agnar na seryosong palapit sa akin. Gwapo si Agnar.

If I compare him to the modern world, he could pass as a model or an idol.

Kilalang-kilala siya sa buong Ancard dahil ang daming nagkakandarapang babae sa kanya. Siya ang kilala kong naging crush ni Elena noong mga bata pa kami. Ewan ko lang kung hanggang ngayon.

"Simulan na ang laban!"

In swordsmanship, I believe my father is the greatest; he trained and mentored me. He also taught me many good techniques, so I believe I will give Agnar a good fight.  

Napahigpit ang hawak ko sa espada nang mabilis siyang sumugod sa akin. Hindi ko mapigilang mapaatras sa lakas niya. Inilagay ko sa mga paa ko ang lakas ko para hindi tuluyang matumba sa panunulak niya, at pilit kong sinangga ang mga atake niya.
