The two days had passed quickly and I was currently on the way home after getting my sling off. To say I was nervous would be an understatement. And I think Bobby was picking up on it as he was glancing over at me every other second.

"Are you okay?" he asks after a few minutes of silence. "Yeah" I nod. "Does it hurt? We can go back if it does" he questions, concern lacing his voice. "No, no, I feel fine. I just have something to tell you" I reassure him and he looks over at me as we stop at a red light. "What is it?" he asks with a frown. "I'll tell you when we get home" I smile softly and he nods.

After a few seconds, the light turns green and he starts driving across the intersection and I turn up the radio, smiling at the song and when I look over at Bobby, I see a car barrelling towards us well above the speed limit and with no intention to stop.

"Bobby!" I scream just before the car collides with the side of us, sending us flipping over multiple times as glass flies everywhere around us before we eventually come to a stop upside down. I managed to stay conscious the whole time and I looked over at Bobby, who was unconscious.

"Bobby?" I cough, reaching towards him and checking his pulse, thankfully finding one. I reached into my pocket and pulled out my phone, which miraculously still worked, and I dialled 911.

"911, what is your emergency?" a man asks. "I need fire and rescue and paramedics at the intersection on Freeman Avenue. There's been a car accident, we were T-boned by a red light runner. My friend is unconscious next to me, he was driving and it was his side that got hit. His name is Captain Bobby Nash of the 118" I explain.

"Bobby? Wait, Cassie?" he gasps and I frown. "Josh?" I ask. "Alright, they're on their way. Is Bobby breathing?" he clears his throat. "Yeah. I can't see any major injuries, just cuts from the glass and it looks like his leg is pinned from the door. He's breathing, pulse is steady but he's unconscious" I relay and I hear Josh typing. "Okay, and what about you?" he asks.

"I...I don't know. I hit my head against my window as we flipped and-and I've got cuts all over me but..." I trail off. "But what?" Josh stops typing. "Oh my god. Josh, the driver of the car who hit us. Or the passenger, I don't know. They're on the road in front of us. Josh...he's dead" I take in a shaky breath, tearing my eyes away from the body in front of us.

"How do you know he's dead?" Josh asks, worry clear in his voice. "Because half of his brain is on the floor" I whimper and Josh gasps. "Alright, they're almost there. keep talking to me Cassie, can you get Bobby to wake up?" Josh changes the subject.

"No. He won't wake up. I can't get him to wake up" I cry as I grab Bobby's arm. "Okay, just breathe okay? Take deep breaths, I'm right here" Josh reassures me and I close my eyes, trying to take deep breaths. "My seatbelt's stuck. I can't get out" I say after a moment.

"Are you upside down?" Josh asks. "Yes" I groan, holding my side. "I can hear the sirens" I sigh. "Good. Stay on the phone with me, alright?" Josh says. "Okay" I breathe as I see the ambulance and fire engine pull up, people jumping out and I hear familiar voices.

"Alright, Hen you check on the silver car, Buck, Eddie, you're with me" I hear Chim and I smile. "Chim!" I call out and I see someone crouch down next to my window. "Holy shit, Cassie?!" Buck stares at me with wide eyes. "Get Bobby. I can't get him to wake up" I tell him and he yells at Chim who goes to Bobby's side. "We're gonna get you out, alright?" Chim reassures me.

"Save him first. Please" I beg and Chim nods, yanking open the door. "Eddie, come here" Chim says before the two of them start working on getting Bobby out after attaching a collar to him. "Talk to me, Cassie, how you doing?" Buck asks as he works on getting my door open. "I'm okay. I think" my voice was quiet and Buck looks at me with sympathy. "Chim, driver's gone. How can I help?" I hear Hen come up to the car before gasping.
