HURTING HEART

You make me believe,

I could fall in love,

But I don't know if

you'd ever love me back.

I was afraid, of rejection,

Or ever in this life hurting your heart.

The other day I asked you once,

What's a line you relate to most?

You replied, to me that once,

Saying you were never the first choice,

Always an option but never chosen,

I wish I could tell you, you were my choice

The only one, in my options,

The only one that I had choosen,

But I was afraid

You'd never love me back.

I was afraid, of rejection,

I was afraid, of hurting your heart.

Give you protection

Or begin from the start

But no matter after how many restarts

I was afraid, of hurting your heart.

Maybe you were, not meant for me,

Cuz' I always saw you in love with her,

Even though, you knew me

She was the one, you wanted her.

I knew you had the kindest heart

Which would feel bitter for saying no,

And that is why I never told you so,

You love her but she doesn't,

I love you but you don't,

But saying yes to me

Would be like flowering a plant

Which has been dead

For a thousand weeks.

But I was still,

I was afraid, of rejection

I was afraid, of hurting your heart.
