It was months after Rhaenyra's and Laenor's wedding. Laenor didn't leave his wife's side for a minute. Rhaenyra and Laenor were expected to have a child soon. He knew about how all her grandmothers and mother died of childbirth. He of course heard about some disturbing rumors of him and Rhaenyra not having any children.

Some expected that Rhaenyra would bear a bastard to House Velaryon and that her husband, Ser Laenor would shame his families name. But Ser Laenor had surprises of his own. He was not going to let that happen. Unfortunately to the realm, Laenor was going to prove them wrong. He would show the entire realm he would bear of child with his cousin.

He followed Rhaenyra around like a puppy with its owner. Laenor only turned his back just for a second and found his wife had disappeared. Laenor ran around the castle and searched high and low for her. The servants in the castle were all wondering what had him so upset and worried. He was of course upset when he found her outside with her handmaidens. They were strolling the city. She laughed and chatted with them.

"RHAENYRA!"

Rhaenyra and maids gasped as she saw Laenor. She was afraid this would happen.

But she couldn't be upset with him. He was only being a husband. Laenor took his wife's hand bringing her back inside the castle.

"Laenor, we're fine. Stop fussing over us."

Laenor refused to listen to a word she said. Rhaenyra blushed at his overprotectiveness. As they were brought back to Rhaenyra's chambers. Laenor sat his wife safely on the bed.

"Laenor, you worry too much."

"Rhaenyra, you lost your mother to pregnancy. You can't get upset with me for being overprotective."

"I'm not upset. I actually find it adorable."

Laenor blushed as his wife gave him a kiss. Rhaenyra and her maids just giggled at them. She smiled and relaxed while Laenor sat down beside her. Rhaenyra winced as their unborn child gave a slight movement. Laenor felt his son kicking in Rhaenyra's womb. His wife relaxed at his touch calming their son.

"How are Laena and Daemon, doing? I haven't heard from them in a while!"

"They're doing well. She and Daemon are in Pentos."

"Why did they leave, Westeros?"

"I don't know, Laena didn't say. But she does miss us as much as we miss her."

Rhaenyra stood up. When she went to walk to the windows. The newly parents heard a sound. Rhaenyra's water leaked out onto the floor. Her servants were surrounding her. Her handmaidens called for a Maester but Rhaenyra refused them. She didn't trust them one bit. Not after what happened to her late mother, Queen Aemma.

"Princess, the child is coming. You must lay down so I can call the Maesters."

"NO! NO, MAESTERS!"

"Princess you-"

"I SAID NO MAESTERS! KEEP THEM AWAY FROM ME!"

"Rhaenyra, breathe. It's alright. Just lay down."

"Princess, you must push."

Rhaenyra squeezed Laenor's hand tightly. His wife screamed and pushed. She continued until the room was heard by a small loud cry. The babe was wrapped up in a small blanket. The maids congratulated the Princess and Ser Laenor.

"Congratulations Princess, Ser Laenor, you have a healthy son. Have you and the Princess chosen a name for him?"

Laenor held his new son. The child looked around the rooms. He saw his mother sleeping. Soon enough their family paid a visit to them. Rhaenyra was having a calmly sleep until she heard her father and stepmother come in. Alicent had a sly smile on her face. Suddenly her sly smile disappeared as she saw the look at Rhaenyra's newborn. She then congratulated when she saw her's and Laenor's newborn son.
