a/n: happy international women's day to all my baby girls and bad bitches out there <3
"she didn't do anything," yuki groaned, dropping her bag on the ground as she dragged herself into the living room and onto the couch.
her boyfriend appeared in front of her like magic. his swift movement surprised her often. "do you mean your department head?"
"mhm," she hummed in response, massaging her temples. "i'm so frustrated. she refuses to act on it because 'there isn't any evidence', andeva won't leave me and my friends alone. i can't even do anything about it without her twisting the story and getting me in trouble."
hyunjin climbed onto the sofa and sat criss-cross, his fingers delicately touching her waist. he pulled her closer to him at an angle, so she was facing away from him and he could play with her hair. "are you sure i can't punch her?"
"yes, jinnie," yuki laughed slightly, relaxing as she felt his long fingers weave through her hair, gently pulling at a knot.
it had become their daily routine. when hyunjin graduated the previous year, he got a job as a dance instructor, and yuki— who had been saving up money as she worked part-time as a life guard at their swimming pool— agreed to move in with him. at the time, they had been together for over two years, so it felt like a good time to move in together.
hyunjin, who always got home before his girlfriend, would make dinner, and the two of them would usually gossip before eating. in the mornings, yuki made breakfast, and then her boyfriend would usually drop her of at the university before going to work.
it worked perfectly.
"are you really sure. just a slap, i swear. and they can't expel me, i already graduated," he argued. "a bitch like her deserves it."
yuki sighed. "i know, but she'll turn it against me somehow, i'm sure of it. it's not worth it, jinnie."
he tugged at another tangle in her hair. "can i braid your hair?" he asked, trying to cool down. he hated eva with a passion— no one could mess with his girlfriend like that.
"sure," she responded mindlessly. feeling her back pocket buzz slightly, she asked, "can you pass me my phone? it's in my pocket."
he pretended to think. "say please."
"pretty please with a felix on top," yuki grumbled playfully in response.
hyunjin side-eyed her, passing her the phone. "ew. i would not want felix on my ice cream."
she laughed, her eyes lighting up a bit as she opened her text notification. "babe, do you by any chance wanna go to a house party?"
he sighed dramatically. "will it make you happy?" she nodded excitedly. "then i don't have a choice, do i?"
