CHAPTER THREE: one giant leap

NICOLAI KENNETH HADN'T EXCEPTED FOR PETER TO BEGIN IN TESTING HIS POWERS MORE. Truthfully, Cole had thought it was odd. For, the two Petrelli brothers to have the same power. Of course, he knew that, the likeness of someone sharing the same power, wasn't going to be zero. But, he definitely thought that, being in the same town, same family, the powers would be different.
Has, with all the types of powers, how does it happen, that three of the two known superpowers people, they share the same ability? And, those same two people, were in the same family?
Nicolai didn't think that it made any sense.
"Nicolai!" A familiar voice boomed, cutting the young man off from his thoughts. He turned, momentarily having forgotten that he had walked to where the- actually, he wasn't paying any attention when Nathan mention it, inky enough to know it has something to do with him wanting to be president (or was it mayor?)-.
"Where's Peter?" Nathan asked. "Normally, you two are right behind the other."
Nicolai rolled his eyes, looking at the man that held the mirror for Nathan, and the one holding two ties. "I need to talk to you."
"Can it wait?" Nathan questions, before his attention is drawn else wear, behind Nicolai. "Pete, just the man I wanted to see."
"I need to talk to you," Peter tells.
"What do you think? Red or blue?" Nathan asked instead, holding up the ties.
"I don't know. Blue?" Peter spoke.
"I'm gonna go red. The president wears red."
"To be a rude dick or because Peter sounded hesitate?" Nicolai questioned.
"Nicolai," Peter spoke scolding him.
"You didn't have to deal with him before! Nicolai, which shirt should I wear, the black or blue button up? Oh, the black, I'll go with blue." Nicolai mocked.
"Is this about me trying to set you up with Hedie's friend? She didn't knw you were gay, and I thought the friend was a man." Nathan spoke.
The friend's name had been Alex, short for Alexandra, not Alexander. To say it has been a short, and extremely awkward date, was an understatement.
Nathan looks back and forth at Nicolai and Peter. Before he moved forward, pulling them both along as he walked away. "So, you gonna come tonight? Gonna break out the suit, have a a couple of drinks?"
