We begin walking to the library. On the way, we walk past a few cars that look like they belong in Star Wars. There are a few other people on the street, too, but most of them are wearing masks. I think it's because of the air pollution, but I'm not sure. We arrive at the library, but it's nothing like I remember. When we walk into the library, everyone stares at us. I don't know why. It could be because we didn't wear masks, or because our clothes are completely different.

I'm wearing a T-shirt and jeans, and the others are wearing about the same thing. The library patrons, however, are mostly wearing full suits made of materials like satin, chenille and chiffon. Most of the outfits are in shades of gray and brown. I walk to a computer. it has a glass screen, which is odd. I'm starting to wonder how long I've actually been in that chamber. I look at the computer screen, and sure enough, it says the same date that my phone did. I can't focus on this now, though. There are more pressing matters to attend to. I don't know what to look up. Olivia knows me too well, and I know that she has my suspicions as well.

"Look up North Pole," she tells me. When I do, I click on a Wikipedia link that tells me that Antarctica no longer exists. Impossible. Aurelia scoots into the chair, and I get up. She types in Recently Extinct Species, and the results are outrageous. Red panda, Loggerhead sea turtle, Snow leopard, Blue whale, Asian Elephant, Giant panda, Wolf and Tiger, along with several fish species. "I can't believe it," I mumble. We search a few more things, but Olivia suggests that we stop by the beach, and I know she wants us to relax a bit.

We navigate to the beach, and it's even more atrocious than the street. The sand is hidden under a layer of plastic and some glass, and the water looks murky like it's filled with oil, and it could very well be. Olivia spots dolphins that seem docile and friendly. In an attempt to take our mind off of the stress of the day I'm sure, she wades out to waist level, and the dolphins start coming toward her. I'm in awe... until I realize that they're swimming toward her as fast as they can. They start spinning around her, then tearing her into pieces. Her blood tints the water red around her. Her screams are the last thing I'll hear from her. I didn't know I was crying until Luna comes over to me and puts her arms around me. She's crying, too, but I'm hysterical. I erupt in choking sobs. I've known Olivia since  first grade, and we were best friends soon after.

Now she's gone. Just like that. Ever since I met her, she did everything in her power to brighten the lives of everyone around her. She died doing just that.
