Anakin sits in English Literature class, at the table right in front of the teachers desk. Paddington lay under the table by her feet, most likely sleeping. Mrs Lowell sits at her desk, grading some papers for another class while the students read some pages of a book she assigned them. 'Of Mice and Men' by Josh Steinbeck.

They are to annotate a few pages with their thoughts on it. How the author structured the story and how it makes them feel. Anakin has already read the book and annotated it at home, so she is done with the task quickly. She takes out her songbook and writes a few lyrics that popped into her head with a tune.

At the end of the lesson, she packs up her things and prepares to leave.

"Can you stay behind a minute, Ark?" Mrs Lowell asks, tapping Anakin's table. She nods and sits back down.

Once the last person has left, and the door closes behind them, Mrs Lowell leans forward, sliding something over to Anakin.

Anakin gasps. "It came?" She asks, breathlessly. Mrs Lowell nods.

"Yesterday afternoon. My wife had kept it safe for you." Mrs Lowell says.

Anakin gently picks up the small box and opens it carefully, not wanting to rip it. Inside is a signed cassette tape, a Fearless one by Taylor Swift. She has been saving up for it for months. She couldn't go and get it signed, so Mrs Lowell's wife, Anya Carters had gone to get it signed for her. She holds it like it is a baby, the most precious thing in the world, because it is, to her.

She discovered Taylor Swift one day on the radio. The song 'Tim Mcgraw' came on to one of her foster mother's radios in the kitchen, in 2006, when she was 11. She has loved her ever since.

"Thank you so much." Anakin says, awe in her voice. She slowly opens the case and pulls the cassette tape out. She opens up her Walkman and puts it inside. The beginning chords of Fearless come on, making Ark smile widely, her dimples popping up.

The New Directions stand in the auditorium as Mr Schuester tells them some bad news.

"You're leaving us? When?" Artie asks, as the others look at their teacher.

Anakin sits on one of the seats, sketching something in her pocket sketchbook she carries everywhere with her.

"Well, I've given my two weeks' notice, but I promise I'm gonna find you guys a great replacement before I go." Mr Schue says, making the teenagers start to doubt themselves.

"Is this 'cause those Carmel kids were so good? Because we can work harder." Mercedes says, exchanging glances with Kurt.

"This isn't fair Mr Schuester. We can't do this without you." Rachel says. Anakin tilts her head to the side. Of course they can't, the team is inexperienced together. They need to bond more and join their strengths together.

"So does that mean that I don't have to be in the club anymore or...?" Finn questions, making the others give him a look of disbelief.

"This isn't about you guys. Being an adult is about having to make difficult choices. It's not like high school. Sometimes you have to give up the things that you love. One day you guys are going to grow up and understand that. I have loved being your teacher." Mr Schue says as he walks out of the auditorium, leaving sad members of the glee club behind.

Anakin didn't even notice he left. She had zoned out, drawing the glee club on stage with huge smiles on their faces, all holding a trophy.

The next day, Anakin stands at her locker, putting the books she doesn't need today in there. Her locker just happens to be near Finn Hudson's one, so she overhears his and Rachel's conversation.
