"It's the Countess... Countess Bourne".
So suddenly? "Are you all right, sister Astrid?" biglang tanong sa akin ni Ian.
"H-huh? Yes, why?"
"You look pale. Are you sure you're okay? Do you want me to call the doctor?" pag-aalala ni Ian.
"You don't have to. I am really fine. But where is Countess Bourne right now?" pag-iiba ko.
"She's in the drawing room right now. She looks troubled, so I asked Cynthia to report it to our brother Chester."
"That's good. You go there first, and I will follow immediately after I fix myself. Wait for Chester in the room, okay?"
"Yes sister", lumabas na ng room ko si Ian. Ako naman ay agad na nagpalit ng damit ko dahil sa basang-basa ng pawis.
Pero habang nagpapalit ako hindi ko mapigilan na mapahawak sa may dibdib ko. I am still bothered by that nightmare earlier.
In that nightmare, both Cynthia and I died that very night. I guess that's how the original Astrid died, but why did it feel so real? It was so real that I felt her pain. It's so painful that it's as if my insides are being ripped out of my body.
Napailing-iling ako at huminga ng malalim para pakalmahin ang aking sarili. However, I can't seem to shrug off that dream since I learned who killed Astrid.
"Ah!" daing ko dahil sa sumait nanaman ang ulo ko. Ganito nalang palagi sa tuwing napapanaginipan ko si Astrid. But compare to before, mas masakit ngayon.
"Ian?" pagtawag ko. "Ah! Cynthia? Anyone?" Lumabas ako ng kwarto kahit na pagewang-gewang ang paglalakad. Mukhang hindi nila ako marinig dahil sa na rin sa malakas ang ulan at kulog sa labas. Halos sabunutan ko na sarili ko sa sobrang sakit ng ulo ko.
Hindi pa ako nakakalayo sa kwarto ko nang mapaupo na ako sa may hallway. "Sh*t! Aaahhh..."
"... trid... Astrid..." napatingin ako sa mga pixies na biglang lumitaw.
"Help me", hingi ko ng tulong sakanila.
"You can do it, Astrid."
"This is the last one. Bear it".
"You can you can do it. Go Astrid!" cheer nila sa akin. Mga walanghiya!
"What do you mean by last one? Seriously, can you do something about this headache? Okay na ako sa biogesic." Para akong ewan na gumagapang sa hallway. Bakit wala man lang mapadaan dito?
"We can't help you, Astrid. The headache is normal, but don't worry. It's the last one."
