Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker's seventeen-year-old Padawan, was lying on her stomach on the bed she frequently used at Lux Bonteri's place. That is, the bed that they both used.
She had just woken up, and was in the middle of her morning ritual. Well, the one that she would take part in when she was at the young Senator for Onderon's home in the Senate Apartment Complex. At the Jedi Temple, she never had time for anything like this.
Lux, who had been her lover for almost half a standard year, was massaging her back, and doing an excellent job of it too. He gently applied pressure to an area the center of her back, just below the hem on her dark blue crop top, kneading an old battle scar that sometimes seized up. He knew her so well, both inside and out.
"Mmh... That feels nice," she murmured, clenching and unclenching the solid muscles in her shoulders.
Suddenly he stopped kneading. She was about to ask why, but then he began to kiss her along her spine. "Good," he whispered against her skin. "I have been trying to get better, but the couch was a poor excuse for a living being."
Ahsoka rolled over onto her back, one of the spaghetti straps of her top slipping off her shoulder. She looked into his lovely grey-blue eyes for a moment, tracing the curve of his smirking lips. "Well, I'm here now, and I'm a perfectly willing test subject," she replied, then kissed him hard on the mouth.
He kissed her back with equal passion, savoring, as she was, the feeling of having their lips in contact. She pulled him down from his sitting position so that he was lying next to her on the bed, wrapping her arms around his neck as she continued to kiss him adoringly.
"I thought you had to go to the Jedi Temple today," he said, finally breaking the kiss. "Didn't you have Jedi duties and stuff like that to attend to?"
"Later this afternoon, not now." She felt a muscular arm drape itself across her shoulders, pulling her closer. She snuggled down next to his warm side. For a moment they were silent, their eyes closed in content. She sighed.
Lux blinked an eye open. "What is it?"
"Why do you have to be so irresistibly gorgeous?" she asked, running her fingers across his torso. She smiled appreciatively when they found the hard lines of a four-pack. He really had been working out while she'd been away from Coruscant!
"I don't know," he said, taking on a look of mock confusion. "But let's address something I can answer. Why do you have to be so breathtakingly beautiful?"
"Lux!" She laughed, sitting up and facing away from him. She stretched her long slender arms. "You only see me as beautiful because you're in love with me!"
"Nah, you're beautiful anyways." He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her back down in bed from behind. "But is that such a bad thing?"
"No, not really," she said with a smile, and pressed her lips to his again.

Ahsoka darted into one of the Jedi Temple's many private training rooms through a secluded side door hidden behind a pile of mats, hoping that her Master hadn't yet arrived. It was a large room; large enough so that she had hopes of getting inside unnoticed, but only if no one was there.
She turned to look back outside, making sure that the hallway was still empty of any Jedi who would think she was up to something. It was. She breathed a sigh of relief, letting her guard drop.
As she realized a moment later, it was a fatal mistake.
"Ahsoka, this is the third time this week you've been late for training."
