The moment I walked in, I saw Zaru Warlock sitting at his desk. Beside him on the right was some man I never saw before holding folders. Must be his aide.

On the left was my mother Faith and my sister Seraphina sitting on chairs, looking at me as if I offended them. The whole room felt tense and awkward.

"You called for me Father?" I asked.

"Yes. We need to discuss your latest embarrasment," he sighed.

"What would you be referring to?" I asked.

"Look I know you don't want to marry the crown prince, but that doesn't mean to try and kill yourself! Must you always seek this type of attention?!"

So either her father is acting like he didn't plan it or he doesn't know that someone poisoned Penelope. He thinks I did it to myself. It sounds like Penelope was extremely against the idea of marrying the crown prince too.

I looked over to my mother to see her giving me a hateful stare. She obviously did not care at all about me trying to kill myself. Seraphina was looking down, as if hiding something.

I bowed slightly to my father. "I apologize father, I did not mean to cause an embarrasment to the family."

My father nodded before he looked down at his papers on his desk. He spoke softly to his aide before looking back at me, realizing I was still here.

"You may go now. I need you to look your best, the crown prince is on his way with the duke to discuss your upcoming marriage," he sighed.

I bowed my head as I went to take my leave.

"Father, may I walk back with her?"

I looked over to see Seraphina asking our father to come with me. She gave an innocent smile when she noticed me looking at her.

"Yes of course, you may go too," he smiled.

It was obvious Seraphina was his favorite daughter. Even in the game, Zaru would do anything for her. Even if it meant murder.

I didn't want Seraphina to think I cared that she offered to follow me. I started to walk away, when I felt a hand pull me back harshly. I looked up to see Mother scowling down at me.

"Wait for your sister. You have always been so disrespectful," she hissed.

"My apologies mother," I bowed.

She muttered something under her breath before walking back to sit down. Seraphina gave her a small smile as she started to walk towards me. As she got close I could smell the stench of roses on her. It was nauseating.

"Come, sister."

We started to walk back to my room. She barely spoke as we walked, only staring at me. I looked back to see her smile softly.

"Is something the matter?"

"Oh no, I just am glad you survived the ordeal. It was truly scary to see the posion trying to take your life," she sighed. A small tear fell from her eyes as she spoke.

"I am alright now sister," I replied.

She nodded her head as we got closer to my room. I could barely get a read on her. I couldn't tell if she resented me or was truly sad I almost died.

"You are so lucky to have a chance to marry the crown prince," she sighed. I could tell by her look that she was already infatuated with the prince. A small spark of envy flashed in her eyes.

"I don't feel so lucky. There is many rumors about that man," I sighed.

One of the many rumors is that he is a womanzier and only cares about sleeping with you once before dropping you completely. I also know from the game that he will willingly kill his own blood.

"True. Like how he only goes for the young ones," she replied.

I looked back up surprised, to see her smiling down at me. My heart pounded when I realized what she meant by that. She knows he will discard me.

"To be honest, he wanted me first. Father explained though how I was the eldest and heir to the Warlock Name. That is how you came to be the next choice," she continued.

So I was never chosen by the crown prince. I was the second choice and Seraphin made sure I knew that. I am not surprised Father tried to keep her away from the prince. He did the same thing in the game. What does surprise me, is that Seraphina didn't try to argue with him when it happened. She clearly likes the crown prince, so why did she not fight back.

There is only two options I could think of. Either Seraphina realized how the crown prince really is and left me to deal with the horrors.

Or this was all part of a bigger plan.

I looked up to see that we were finally at my door. I looked back to my sister. For a moment it seemed like her whole personality changed. She looked enraged to see that I gave no reaction to her words.

"I must go in now. Thank you for the talk sister," I smiled.

Immediately, she smiled, letting any anger disappear from her eyes. I knew at that moment that she wasn't the innocent, sweet girl that she played in the game.

"Goodbye sister. Be careful," she smiled.

I looked at her for a moment longer, before I went inside. Those last words were not a sweet and kind message to a sister.

It was a warning.
