Girl Meets Mystery

The next day came rolling in. Lucas and Farkle were sitting in the math classroom in between periods.

"It was weird, but also beautiful." Lucas began. "Her eyes are gorgeous."

"So you like Maya?" Farkle asked quietly, not wanting anyone to here their conversation.

"I think so." Lucas answered shyly.

"Wow, what about Riley? She has a major crush on you." Farkle said.

"I don't know. I just don't like her like that." Lucas said, truthfully.

Meanwhile, Riley and Maya were in study hall.

"I have an idea to get Lucas." Riley started, "You help me set up a 'go to the dance with me' sign! It's perfect!"

Maya was still very confused. She had mixed emotions for Lucas.

"Sure, I guess." Maya said, "wait, Riles, did you say their was a dance?"

"Yeah, on Friday."

"Oh, ok."

"Do you want to go with anyone special?" Riley asked.

"Yes, um, no. No I do not." Maya said.

"Who is he?"

"No one. Just forget it."

"Maya! Who is he?" Riley asked again.

"Someone I can't like. Just stop bugging me!" Maya answered and walked out of the room.

Riley was determined to find out. She would not stop until she knew.
