"Fuck off!"

My head jerked up from the bottles of alcohol I was pouring, my ears perking up as well. Was that Angel Dust? Goddammit... His first day and he's already causing bullshit... I rolled my eyes and went back to cleaning shot glasses when I heard Angel yell again. "Go away, Valentino!" Valentino? He was back again? I had already kicked him out! I grumbled to myself and stepped from behind the bar table, ignoring all the other customers.

I found Valentino and Angel at the poker table. Val had a grip on his wrist and was trying to pull him towards himself. Angel Dust's feet were firmly planted on the ground as he tried his best to get away from Valentino. He kept yelling at him to let go, but Val didn't respond. Finally Angel got away. He stumbled to the other side of the poker table, and stepped back slowly as Valentino glared at him, gritting his teeth. He looked like he was ready to attack.

"Val, go away!" Angel yelled. He tried to sound intimidating, but his voice was shaking. "I... I-I don't belong to you anymore! Find a new slut!"

"Baby... Te amo... Please, come home, I miss you..." Angel expression turned from anxiety to anger. His eyes narrowed and his body tensed. He didn't make a sound, but he looked like he wanted to scream. "I really, really do..."

Angel stared at Val, who was about to grab him again, when I stepped up in between them. "Val. I'm afraid you're not allowed to stay here. You were kicked out yesterday. Forever. Now go, and leave my employee alone."

Angel stared at me, his body less tense. His angry expression seemed to fade, and turned to a neutral one. His fists were still clenched, but less tightly. Valentino put on a forced smile, his red eyes glowing with hatred. "Husk. Now, please, just... Come, let me speak." I shook my head, but Valentino didn't care about my answer. He walked up to me, grabbing my shoulder, and walking me a few feet away from the poker table. He wrapped his arm around me, which I didn't like. I shifted my body away, glaring at Val angrily. He smiled widely, his eyes piercing through me.

"Husk, I'd like to make one last deal..." he said, smirking. I rolled my eyes. Apparently, he still hadn't realized how stupid it was to gamble with the Overlord of Greed. He sighed, turning to Angel. "I need him back, Husker. Without a star, I can't make any films, and without any films, I'm out of fucking money. And..." He pulled out a stack of cash from his coat—I estimated about one million dollars, since they were all hundreds. "This is all I have left. If I can get him back, it's all yours."

My eyes went wide. He had to be joking. One million dollars, all for that spider? I stared at the cash. I would never actually give Angel Dust back, obviously, but... One million was a lot of money. And I did need to renovate the hotel rooms... I shook my head. What was I thinking? I couldn't let him go back with Valentino! I turned to Angel, who was staring at me and Val, his eyes wide. He was shaking, and his body was tight. He was worried I would give him up. I looked up at Val, who was smiling sweetly. He waved the cash in front of my face, as if teasing me.

"I..." I sighed. Was I really going to take one million dollars over a person? I clenched my fists. The golden chain that always appeared around Angel's neck was more translucent now, looking more like its true smoke form instead of a solid chain, like it did before. I shook my head, and unclenched my fists. The chain disappeared. I looked up at Val with my final answer.

"Get out, Valentino."

Val growled softly, scowling, while Angel's expression turned to one of relief. His hand tightened around the cash, his eyes glowing a brighte, hotter red. He shoved the cash back into his coat pockets. I frowned at him, trying to seem intimidating, which was kind of hard when the person you're trying to intimidate is ten feet tall.

"Oh, you might want to consider it more..." he said, his polite tone a little forced. His voice was sort of enchanting, persuading me to make the decision he wanted, not I. He stood behind me, grabbing my shoulders. I could feel his breath on my neck. I wanted to push him away, to tell him no, but... I couldn't. "You've been wanting to renovate the casino, right, dear?" he asked. "Make a stage, hire a few more workers, maybe add a few more machines." How did he know that? I had never told anyone about my plans for the casino. I was going to ask, but he cut me off. "You could do that and more with this money, Husk... How much money has Angel Dust made you so far? Has he been of any use?"

I shook my head. "But... It's only his first day, I don't expect him to do much."

Valentino shook his head, clicking his tounge. I gritted my teeth. He was getting to me now, and I was sick of it. I was about to yell at him, when he stepped away, still holding the cash. His smile faded, his expression turning serious. "Give him back, Husker."

I glared up at him, my hands shaking. I tried not to let on how nervous I was, but I knew Val could tell. He had that stupid grin plastered across his face. I sighed, and nodded, looking down at the red carpet floor.

"Okay."

A group of security demons appeared behind Valentino, grabbing him by the neck, making him drop the cash in surprise. I smirked at him smugly, clenching my fists. Angel grinned happily as the chain began to appear more solid once again. Val kicked and grunted as he tried to get away from the security. I crossed my arms, my smirk turning to a smug grin.

"Get out, Valentino."

I waved my hand, and the guards dragged him away, not bothering to take the cash. Apparently, Val hadn't noticed, because he didn't mention it. He kept yelling in Spanish—"¡Maldita sea, Husker! ¡Volveré y Ángel volverá a ser mío!"—as his legs dragged across the floor. His eyes were glowing red, and were more visible as his heart-shaped glasses had almost fallen off his face, and were now down on his chin. I grinned as he tried to escape from them. The guards threw him out, and he lay on his back on the ground outside the casino, banging on the now locked glass doors.

I closed my eyes in contentment, but they soon opened at a hand on my shoulder again. I expected another Vee or some other bitch to kick out, but I just saw Angel. He was smiling genuinely and widely, his eyes filled with appreciation. I rolled my eyes, but I felt my lips curve slightly. What the fuck? Was I smiling at him?

"Thank you, sir," he said, a flirty tone to his voice. I groaned, my smile fading immediately. Did he have to be so flirty all the time?

"Just get back to work," I mumbled, sounding irritated as I walked back to the bar. More customers were shouting, waiting to get their drink. As I fixed the drink, I couldn't help but think about Angel's smile, and how happy he was to be away from Valentino. He didn't seem like as much of an annoying whore the Vees made him out to be. Maybe he wasn't so bad.

Angel Dust stood near the poker table, cheering for the players. He noticed me looking at him, and teasingly winked at me. My eyes went wide and my face flushed.

Never mind, I thought. He's bad.

[ I hope you enjoyed this chapter! I hoped it would come out sooner but... Oh, well. It was fun to write, and I'm glad I won't have to write too much about Val after this, since he's basically gone from the casino. I hate Valentino. Anyways, hopefully chapter five will be published soon, and with more romance with Husk and Angel! Also, this book already has over fifty reads! Thank you so, so, so much! I didn't think many people would read it, honestly. Thank you! :3 ]
