Harvey and I made our way down the hole under the jagged rock and into the yeti's lair. I couldn't believe the yeti was real! And on top of that: it was the cause of the disease that had killed several students...

No wonder the water quality guy hadn't been able to identify the substance. And no wonder the school's well filter hadn't been able to remove the yeti urine substance. No one had known the yeti was real!

I reached for Harvey's strong hand as we walked down a steep incline. A rotten stench suffocated my nose.

"Ick. Did you fart?"

"What? No."

The gravelly tunnel got darker and darker as we traveled further into the earth. My teeth chattered mercilessly and I found myself wanting to turn back. But I couldn't, not after I had come so far.

There it was. A room full of strange furs, lit by a crude fire in the center. The yeti stood tall beside the fire. It was a big, hairy thing and I screamed out in terror.

It had been waiting for us. When the yeti charged, club raised to strike, I lifted my arm high and aimed. My gun made a sharp sound. I pulled the trigger three more times. Finally, the yeti collapsed.

"You did it," Harvey said, fear still haunting his eyes.

"I... I did it."

When we came back from winter break, the ban on tap water had been lifted. Rumors had spread throughout the school detailing Harvey and I's quest to defeat the yeti, but no one could prove for sure what really happened.

Che moved schools. Her parents didn't want her to stay at Foxcroft after the disease scandal, even if it was over. A good portion of the students never came back from winter break...

When I told Che about Harvey and I, she didn't mind. She told me that I should've just told her. I guess I didn't have to keep my boyfriend such a secret, but keeping the secret was half the fun.

I spent all of winter break at Harvey's mansion; it was unbearable to be separated from him. Okay that's a bit dramatic but whatever...

Tomlin and I hung out after winter break. It was a little awkward after his dance confession, but I would get over it. He would too.

I almost forgot! Harvey and I shared a New Year's Eve kiss! It was the best way to ring in 2020. Hopefully this year doesn't have a new disease that puts me in a quarantine all over again...

THE END!
