As the hours turned into days and days into weeks, Kuroo, Bokuto, and Kenma noticed Akaashi getting more... distant. He stopped sleeping in the bedroom and started sleeping in the guest room, he started working more hours at his part time job, and he became quieter. Every time the boys tried talking to him, it resulted in an argument and or Akaashi getting more distant. At some point, Kuroo had enough.
"Keiji come here." He says pissed as Bokuto and Kenma played games on the tv
"What?" Akaashi said.
"Do you still love us?" Kuroo asked with a cold expression. This question makes the three other boys stop what they were doing and stare at him in shock.
"...what?" Bokuto whispered to the smaller boy in his lap "KenKen what's going on?"
"Not sure." Kenma whispered back.
"Why are you asking me this?" Akaashi said getting defensive.
"Your being really distant and not even acknowledged us! Be honest, do you want to break up with us?"
"Fuck no!" Akaashi said angrily "why are you saying this?!"
"When why do you not talk to us as much anymore?!" Kuroo yells back
"I love you too much, that's the issue!" Akaashi yells back and breaks down into sobs causing all of the boys to just stare in awe.
"Keiji..." Bokuto says and sets Kenma down before walking over and picking up Akaashi "Shh... its okay."
"What do you mean you love us too much?" Kuroo asks confused.
"You guys are my only family now! my birth family hates me, i have no real friends, and i just!-" Akaashi completely breaks down in Bokuto's arms and Kenma runs over to try and calm him down.
"Oh Keiji..." Kenma whispers and rubs his back, looking at Kuroo whos fighting the tears in his eyes "Kuroo, a word?" with that, Kenma drags him off to the bedroom to talk
Bokuto sits on the couch with Akaashi in his arms sobbing aggressively. Bokuto tries his hardest to calm him but ends up crying as well.
"Keiji... don't worry. we are all here for you-"
"but Kuroo-"
"Ignore Kuroo he's just frustrated and was confused. he didn't know that there was a bigger issue." Bokuto says and kisses Keiji's forehead.
