Kiyoni was upstairs in her new room, contemplating on how she felt about being back in her hometown. Kiyoni had moved away in the middle of the year, leaving her friends since elementary school but she was so caught up in her thoughts, she truly believed nobody would want to talk to her anymore being that they barely hit her up as often as they used to.

The only person she had aside from her little sister, Kielle, was her best friend,  Yasmere who was currently at work. Kiyoni's first day of school was tomorrow. she was very nervous especially because school was almost over with, its march. She didn't want to text anybody and tell them she was coming because of the fact she didn't think anyone rocked with her anymore.

Kiyoni was one of those people who overthought a lot, she did this because of the struggle with people she had growing up. She often found herself surrounded by individuals who didn't appreciate her for who she was. People who she thought were her friends took her kindness for weakness, purposely left her out or were just straight jealous or envious.

Kiyoni was a beautiful girl. She had face, a cute petite body which every girl seemed to want, a charming personality, a sexy ass voice and even sex appeal and of course people were jealous. So many people were jealous of her growing up, not just because of her looks but because of the light her personality brung into the room. The way she got dressed up everyday was enough for anybody to be envious and/or hateful towards her.

" Kiyoni Anea " her mother, Nikki yelled from downstairs.

"yeah" she yelled back. no answer. she rolled her eyes in annoyance. As she opened her door, and walked down the stairs. She met her mom and her little sister in the kitchen.

"yeah ma" she said as she leaned on the island table.

"school is tomorrow ! are yall excited ?" Nikki said with excitement that the girls could not reciprocate back to her.

" no " kielle said. Kielle dealt with the same thing her sister did but it was worse for her because she didn't bother anybody. She was an introvert and stayed to herself so when she entered the room, people automatically didn't like her because they thought she was stuck up because of what she had and the way she looked.

Kielle and Kiyoni were very privileged girls, they had everything you could dream of. The newest clothes, the newest shoes, nails were always done and even their hair stayed done because of their mother who was a hairstylist. their mother and their father made a lot of money. their father ran multiple businesses, such as running a police department, realiting, plumbing and plenty more.

" why aren't y'all excited ?" Nikki asked her kids, frowning because she already knew the reason. she hated her kids had to go through this. Back when she was their age, if you had everything they had, you was lit but she always encouraged her children to never dim their light to please anyone.

" i'm sorry y'all are going through this man seriously, lemme call y'all grandma" she continued. Nikki knew their grandma could lighten this situation. She picked up her phone and quickly dialed her number. it rang twice before nikki's mother picked up.

"yeah chile" mrs debra spoke through the speaker.

"Kiyoni and Kielle need your advice on something" Nikka said to her mother before sliding the phone in between her daughters.
