As me and Kielle walked through the door, my mom greeted us with a face full of excitement.
"soooo how was school, was it bad as you girls thought it would be ?" My mom said with a hopeful smile on her face.
"no it was good" i said.
"it was good, People actually spoke to me today and they seemed genuine." Kielle said putting her bookbag next to the door.
"well that's good, i'm bout to head out for my last client of the day, if yall need anything, Text your father." she said before walking out.
"i don't know why she told us to text him, knowing he respond hours later" I said walking up the stairs to my room.
"word" Kielle replied.
Once i was in my room, I decided to take a shower so i can take a little nap. The feeling of the hot water fogging up my entire bathroom relaxed me.
After drying off and moisturizing my skin i changed into my comfortable clothes and I settled in my bed. the sunlight shining through my window added a cozy touch to my room as i doze off into a what was supposed to be a good sleep.
I was rudely interrupted by my phone ringing. i quickly grabbed my phone, seeing that it was a facetime call. not paying attention to the contact, i answered it. i seen that my best friend, yasmere and my homegirl, Nina, who hadn't joined yet was in there with an unsaved number. The unsaved number had their camera turned off.
Yasmere had her camera turned on and she was setting up her camera. After yasmere sat her phone up, she started eating what looked like a burger. Just unbothered without a care in the world.
" who is that ?" i said talking to Yasmere, rubbing my eye. My eyes was still heavy with sleep. Yasmere shrugged, chewing with a mouth full of food.
"it's Alani" Alani said with a slight attitude, catching me off guard. Yasmere mugged her through screen, adding a layer of tension to the call instantly.
"oh ok, fuck you want ? " i said with just a lil base in my voice sense we speaking with attitudes.
"hello " nina said joining the call before alani could reply to my question.
"now that all yall in here, y'all gotta problem wit me ? Why i'm hearing y'all sitting in classrooms talking yall shit bout me " Alani said damn near yelling at her phone. Nina's face quickly changed into a mug.
