Where did my daddy go?
I'm not entirely here
Half of me has disappeared"

Alysanne knew she had to choose sides. But as always, she loved the way people held their breath, waiting for her to make her choice. Nobody could continue on with their lives before Alysanne Targaryen made her choice.
Black or Green.
Her father or her best friend.
She was not at all a big part of the war at such a young age, but she would be, one day. And having her on your side would surely turn out to be an advantage when the war came. For everyone knew there was something special about her.
Alys already knew where she would go when her soul craved home.
But for now, they would have to hold their breaths.
Alysanne once again stood on the beach of Driftmark, but this time, she truly grieved. She grieved not only a friend but a sort of brother figure she had looked up to for so long.
Laenor Velaryon was dead, and it felt to her that no one was mourning him. Everyone had left. The Hightowers had to flee in a fit of shame because of the Queen's public display, and her father and Rhaenyra were already planning to marry. And yet still she stood on Driftmark, a place that certainly did not love her. It felt as if the walls of the ancient house disagreed with her choosing of sides. She knew it heard her cries once everyone left, so she would not be surprised if it knew her decision.
But it was not only the walls that knew it. It seemed Princess Rhaenys did, too. But the Princess could not banish the girl from the island, and she could not find it in her to hate a girl of ten. Especially not this one. The one who had stayed for her son's funeral. The only person in the Red Keep that bothered to mourn him. Rhaenerya was already remarrying, and the Hightowers barely bat an eye when they heard of his tragic ending. But there she was, a girl Princess Rhaenys did not even know shared fond memories and a strong bond with her son.
Lord Corlys was more than happy to house the young girl, and he invited her to every meal they had, he walked with her along the shore, and he gave her the best books about their side of the Valyrion history. He had once respected her father, and he could surely see him in her. So he respected her and the things she had not yet done, but he knew she would. Whether it was good or bad, he would have to wait to find out. She knew he would hate soon enough, and so would everyone else.
The second she goes home, she would be the enemy.
"Father," she greeted as he came to stand alongside her, overlooking the sea.
"I truly am happy to have you here for this special occasion." He told his oldest daughter, choosing to hide his surprise at the fact that she actually came along. He had thought that she would be in Red Keep by now, probaly plotting war alongside the Green Cunts. But here she was, on her way to Dragonstone with them. Maybe there was hope after all.
"Yes, a very special one indeed," she told him, letting a bit of disgust and spite slip into her words.
When they reached the island, Daemon had shown his daughter to her chambers, so that she may bathe and put something else on.
"Princess, dinner has already begun, and your father requested your presence," one of Dragonstone's maids told the Princess, who stood staring at the seas surrounding the island.
