Hestia's pov

After a while, I realized I was probably really late to class. "we're late to class," I told xaden, my words muffled into his chest. He let out a long shy before unwrapping his arms from my waist, standing up, and reaching his hand out to me, which I happily took. I quickly got bored as we walked in silence, still holding hands. "I'm Hestia I quickly said as I looked up at xaden. He was tall compared to my 5'4 self, so I had to look up quite a bit." I know," he said. As he was about to say his name quickly interrupted him." u know who you are, xaden riorson. You have quite the reputation," I snarked back; he snickered at that. " what do you think I missed?" I asked. "Not much there, probably just going over any recent attacks." I nodded and was silent for a bit before I continued talking. "Bell is doing well, but I think she misses her brother." I looked back up at him and saw his face turn somber. "I miss her, but she'll just have a bigger target on her back if I'm with her," he paused for a second before continuing. "I know she'll be safe with you and that you'll keep her safe for me." I smiled, nodding. "I promise to keep her safe," I said, squeezing his hand as we continued walking down the halls in comfortable silence.

Once we finally reached the battle brief door, I looked to thank Xaden but found he wasn't there anymore. Okay, let's do this, I said to myself, my nerves speaking as I knocked on the door, my hands immediately finding my nail beds as I began to pick at them as I waited for the door to open. Once it did, I saw my teacher's eyes flicker from my face to my neck. I looked down, hoping he wouldn't ask questions, and thankfully, he didn't. "Go sit down, and don't be late again," he said sternly. I nodded as I walked in. Sadly, the only seat was beside a boy with blonde hair and a rebellion tattoo. I just waved at him as I sat down, saying in my own head, thinking back to what happened with my brother.
