Kinkajou's Adventures

Trip

Soon after Tsunami announced everything that everyone would be doing, they all began to pack up. They would be doing their field trip to the scavenger den tomorrow, and they did not want to miss one thing. They would be spending one night there, so that Kinkajou could bring her hammock. "How come you get to bring your bed but I can't?" Moon well mooned. Kinkajou looked down at Moon's solid rock bed with the moss blanket covering it then back up at Moon and down and up and down and up. " Well I don't think anyone said you couldn't, they just didn't advise it." Kinkajou said.

" Well whatever." Moon said. Soon they were off in the sky with a tiny scavenger named Wren and a weird colored Skywing. " Well I heard he's Perils brother." Turtle said as he and Kinkajou were flying through a cold cloud. " I mean that would explain why he's so weird colored." she responded. The last time she had been flying with Moon,Turtle, and Qibli was before she'd defeated Darkstalker and was flying to stop Winter.

" We're here!!" Sunny said as they landed in a large clearing a couple of hours later. " How was the flight?" Moon asked them. " Normal but I'll be sore later." Turtle responded. " Time to keep moving!!" Sunny said over her shoulder." So how is the relationship going?" Kinkajou asked once the boys were in front and out of earshot. " Good, I guess, I just I don't know fell off lately." They walked for a while until they got to a burned tiny city that looked scavengeryish enough.

Later they had settled down for the night and Wren the scavenger told them that tomorrow they would be exploring. I'm so excited, I wish the sun would rise already, she thought enthusiastically, but wait, I don't have to wait till tomorrow, I can just check it out now. She went over and poked Moon. " What!!" Moon said loudly. "Shhhhhhhhhh!!" Kinkajou whispered. " You want to go check out the Scavenger City?" She asked. "No Kinkajou, not one bit!!" Moon loudly whispered, rolling over towards Qibli.

" Turtle" Kinkajou whispered again. But no answer came. " Are you coming?" a voice asked from behind her. It was Turtle, " Well depends, are you going to do that again?" She asked inturn. "No." Turtle answered. "Fine then!!"Kinkajou said, walking over to him. " I really wonder how that Wren speaks dragon, it's so odd?" Turtle said as they neared a small scavenger well. " Well it was probably that Skywing brother of Perils." Kinkajou said inspecting the well.

" You seem to know a lot on the subject." He said looking up at the full moon. " Well I have a brain unlike some rainwings and I also heard Peril talking about it at her wedding." She said continuing to walk. " HEY!!" a small voice speaker out of the silence. " Oh Hi!" Kinkajou said as she saw the tiny scavenger. " Oh Hi!" the scavenger mocked. " Your supposed to be sleeping!!" Wren said angrily. " I could say the same." Kinkajou said. " I Free you school." Wren explained.

" I can leave school if I want." Kinkajou said defensively. " Like you would." Wren replied, annoyed. " Kinkajou I'm already bored of this stupid city scavengers are so boring let's go." Turtle said. "Yeah Turtle." she said, stomping off. They laughed until they were in sight of the camp it felt so weird to talk to something they had always thought as prey, well not Kinkajou herself but it was

still weird.

The next morning Turtle and Kinkajou did not talk about the night before with Moon and/or Qibli. Wren kept giving them ugly glares but didn't say anything to Sunny which surprised them. Sunny and Peril's Brother, Sky as Wren called him, kept talking the entire time they were touring the village. " So I saw Ivy and took her for a ride!!" Sunny exclaimed. " Yes." Sky said a little wobbly. For the first time it dawned on Kinkajou why. Sky had grown up with Wren and by the time Wren found him she was old enough to understand and over time they had both learned the opposing language fairly well except Sky had not quite mastered his own language.

Kinkajou walked over to the others who were looking down into a small hut with scavenger swords in it. "Cool!!" Qibli said, trying to pick one up. "Winter would love this." He said a little less enthusiastic this time. " Hey guys I just figured out how Wren, the scavenger can speak dragon." she said. "Well I have a couple of Ideas," Qibli said. " but you can give it a dune." Kinkajou explained her theory as the walked along a small dry creek bottom.

" It would make sense I mean I can't think of anything that could cause me to think that's not it." Qibli said after a short pause. The rest of the day went by in a blur, Sunny and Sky kept talking and Moon said they both liked each other a lot and Kinkajou said it was a match made in the rainforest. The sun soon began to set and they lifted off flying fast to get back to JMA before it was dark. There are still bad dragons in Pyriah, no matter what peace there is after the war.

" How was your trip?" Qibli asked Icebreaker after they got back. " None of your snow monsters." He yelled quietly and ran off with Coconut behind him. "He's still mad about the teams I guess." Qibli said as they walked down the halls together. " He will settle it himself I'm sure." Moon said quietly. They walked down the halls in silence after that. It was calming to be with everyone, well almost everyone again and not be chasing a bad guy or worrying about a whole tribe dying and mind control plants everywhere. Kinkajou thought about clearing her mind.

That night in bed Kinkajou heard a sound from outside the cave. It was the talon steps of someone who wanted to be very quiet. She quietly got out of her canvas and tipped talent to the entrance of the cave. She saw Icebreaker in the halls pacing. " Hey Icebreaker." she whispered a plan clearing in her head. "What do you want." He said recognizing her. "I wanted to say thank you for being kind enough to let us be on a team with Qibli we haven't got to hang out with him a lot lately especially since the Leafwings and Silkwings came." she said hoping that would settle him.

" Your Welcome." He said with a bit of relief in his eyes and walked back into his cave. Kinkajou walked back in her cave feeling pleased with herself. "What were you doing out there?" Moon whispered. "Sorry did I wake you up?" Kinkajou asked. " No." She said, yawning. " Icebreakers thought they did." she said looking unpleasant. " I told him. Thank you for letting us be on the team with Qibli." she answered. " You know he was mad about that right?" she said, looking at her intently. " What he doesn't know can't hurt him." Kinkajou said, falling into her Hammock
