ONE MONTH LATER
Tae was in the locker room of the college gathering his things. It was the first day of college.
The results were declared a few days ago and Tae had topped in the whole university and not just his college. Jungkook too had managed to pass with average grades. Jeon household was so happy and finally Jungkook passed without extra subjects pending. Kim household was so proud of their son. But Tae wasn't happy. The news made him super proud of himself. He did what he always wanted to. But still – there was something missing from his life.
He grabbed his phone to check the timetable when he heard Yoongi's voice. He wanted to talk to Yoongi since they had not seen each other after the farmhouse. But he stopped because he heard another voice.
"So – you broke with her?" Yoongi asked wiping the sweat after the basketball match.
Tae pressed his ears and began to hear intently.
Jungkook smiled faintly and shook his head, "No – I – I mean I said we should but she – convinced me. We had a talk and she made me understand things."
Yoongi was disappointed and yet smiled. He and everyone knew how much Ruby liked Jungkook.
"Oh – you – you like her?" Yoongi asked seeing his cousin in deep thoughts.
He needed a minute to answer that as if it was a math question.
"I – um – yes," Jungkook licked his lips and picked a t-shirt from his bag, "Yes – she is good to me."
Yoongi smiled seeing Jungkook trying to start anew. But what about Tae?
No one knew what was going inside Tae's mind.
When Yoongi got a text from Hope he ran keeping his bag in the locker room. He told Jungkook to go ahead and attend lectures and not wait for him.
Jungkook saw how Yoongi ran to his boyfriend and smiled.
He was packing his and Yoongi's bag when he heard a locker door close. Someone was with them.
Tae emerged out with a smile on his face, "Hi Jungkook!"
Jungkook's hand froze as he was neatly arranging Yoongi's shirt. It had been ages since he heard that voice.
Was he hallucinating again?
No!
Kim Taehyung stood in front of him with a smile – a beautiful smile on his face.
"I won't get a hi?" Tae kept smiling fondly and titled his head.
Jungkook gasped and shook his head with a smile, "Hi – Hi – Tae – hyung."
Tae looked like a ghost to Jungkook.
Such a beautiful ghost.
"How you doing?" Tae asked sitting on one of the benches, "How was your vacation?"
