Thor POV
I had returned back to Midgard after finishing my role on Asgard. My father had needed me to do some important business back at home so I had to leave, but I am glad to be back with my earthly friends now. When I had arrived, though, there were these two people that I had not recognized.
It seemed as though our team was divided. Some of them liked these two new children while some of them hated them.
"Hello friends! How are you all doing?" I said boldly, announcing my presence as I walked into the kitchen. I found myself some smores poptarts and started to prepare them so that I could eat. "What has been going on while I was away on Asgard?"
Steve kindly filled me in as I messed around with the toaster. Tony finally got irritated watching me screw up his machinery and called for Jarvis to do it for me. In a few minutes, I had the best pop tart flavor in my hand and was happily munching on them.
"I was meaning to ask friends," I started to say, in between bites. "Who are these two children living in our tower?"
"That's Perseus Jackson and Annabeth Chase. Both are a mystery. They claim to have joined the military at fifteen years old. But I looked them up. They're associated with many terrorist attacks, blowing up the Gateway Arch, for one," Natasha said.
"Natasha, stop, you have to let go of your suspicion!" Steve huffed angrily at the spy. "They are young, yes, but they served well."
"Whatever it is, I will talk to them later. Maybe we should all eat dinner together tonight so I can get to know them," I told everyone, wanting to make my own opinions. "Either way, I feel as though I have heard their names before."
Natasha hesitantly agreed, but even I could tell that she was suspicious of the fact that I said I have heard their names before. I honestly cannot even place where!
"Hey guys, who's the god?" a male voice said from the doorway. Speak of the devil and he shall appear. Percy and Annabeth walked in, picking up little pieces of food for lunch.
"Hello, I am Thor, god of thunder," I said.
"Oh, you're Norse. That's new," Annabeth just said as she picked up an apple. These mortals did not seem phased at all that they were talking to a god.
Our conversation had ended there as Percy and Annabeth got their little meal. They seemed to be hardly eating anything, but I was not one to impose.
"We shall all eat dinner together tonight!" I announced later on. Everyone murmured some sort of answer. "At 7:00 we shall eat!"
Percy just smiled and rolled his eyes as he took his own plate and Annabeth's and brought it to the sink."Sure, Thor. In the meantime, we'll just be in our rooms. You up to talking later today, Steve?" Percy asked, directing the question to the WWII veteran. He just smiled and nodded.
Everyone had gone back to doing their own usual thing. Time had slowly passed and, soon enough, 7:00 arrived. Everyone filed into the dining room as the pizza arrived and everyone began to eat.
Percy and Annabeth were the last ones to arrive, so we all decided to play a prank on them while we waited. There was a space between me and Steve, where the couple could go sit. I placed my hammer there, knowing that they wouldn't be able to pick it up. I did this prank on everyone in the team and their facial expressions were too funny to miss out on.
The two finally arrived five minutes later. They scanned the couch and noticed the spot that was preoccupied with my hammer.
But then the craziest thing happened.
Percy just easily walked over, picked up my hammer, and placed it on the floor next to me.
"Hey, sorry Thor. I'm assuming that that's yours. I just need to move it so we can sit," he said easily, as if he had not just picked up the hammer that only allows the worthy. We all just stared at him, jaws slack and eyes wide. "Wait, what happened? Was I not supposed to do that? I'm sorry."
Percy then literally just picked up the hammer AGAIN, placed it back onto the couch, and proceeded to make himself comfortable on the floor, with Annabeth beside him.
And we all continued to stare at him.
"Okay, come on guys! It was an honest mistake! Was it really that bad?" Percy whined. Annabeth just looked at him with an amused expression on her face. She suddenly started to whisper something into his ear in a different language and realization and embarrassment dawned on his face.
The language seemed old and weird, but I had understood it. I recognized it.
Ancient Greek.
Oh my gods, now I remember who they were!
"Percy and Annabeth!" I mini-shouted, a new sense of awe seeping into my voice. "Oh my gods, you are the Percy and Annabeth?"
"Um, yes, Thor—" Percy started to say, his eyes darting back and forth.
"I am so sorry for imposing myself here. I had not known that the Greeks had chosen this place as their new sacred fortress!" I said, furiously apologizing. The gods had their own strict realms. The fact that I'm in the Greek's area is a huge mistake on its own. The AllFather will surely have his ear chewed off about this during the next Patheon Meeting.
"No, no, you're fine Thor! Don't worry!" Percy said, internally panicking. "Trust me, you're fine!"
"Oh gods! Zeus must be angry at me. No wonder they sent their two most honorable warriors as their ambassadors to get rid of me!" I was honestly scared. If their gods make an appearance, I am done for. And then I realized that I was still sitting. What was I thinking?! I need to show respect for the Greeks now that I already impeded onto their land!
I quickly got onto the floor and knelt down in front of the two incredulously looking teenagers. I picked up my hammer and held it in front of them with respect.
"I apologize sincerely. Please, take my hammer as a token of my respect."
Percy backed himself up against the couch, staring wide-eyed at the god that was kneeling in front of him.
"Dude! Aren't you a god? Since when does your kind kneel in front of mortals! Get up, man! I should be kneeling in front of you, not the other way around!"I gasped at that.
"You are as humble as they say!" I exclaimed, pride coating my words. "The great Percy Jackson, oh it is such an honor to meet you!"
"Thor please stand up!" Annabeth tried, desperation lacing everything she said. The rest of the team was staring at us, with a weird expression on their face. Clint was simply eating his pizza and enjoying the show."Annabeth Chase. Brilliant war and excellent strategist and architect I have seen your plans for Olympus. It is such an honor to meet you as well."
"The honor is all mine, Thor. Now please, get up!"
I finally stood up and looked at the teenagers in front of me. I can't believe I actually have the honor of standing in front of the two greatest warriors of all time. Their stories are told to all our children and warriors of Valhalla and their tales of bravery are an inspiration to all.
"Okay, I have SO many questions!" Tony shouted, finally breaking the silence.
Oh yeah.
I forgot about them.
